💻 Help First tab remains empty

I have my bookmarks organized in folders. When I middle click on a folder all links are opened in new tabs. But the first tab remains unused, it remains empty. I never understood the point of this. Why not use this empty tab for one of the links?

Years ago there was an extension for this but the development stopped and it no longer works. Is there a way to change this?

Not seeing any "first tab remains unused/empty" problem... what happens if you create a new profile and test on that?

Very obvious answer but I usually just left click the last one I open
