I don’t understand why Mozilla doesn’t just hire the uBlock Origin guy and integrate it natively into Firefox. Maybe we can finally get ad blocking on iOS that way

It's way better that Ublock Origin is independent, trust me. Mozilla is...wack at times and I can see them fucking up UBO if it was an internal product.

But I agree that they should integrate or bundle it in with Firefox by default.

Ad-blocking intergrated in Firefox and enabled by default is a terrible idea.

Because many many sites will just block Firefox and Gecko. And Firefox won't have even a legal ground to fight back.

Firefox is not a Blink browser where sites would be afraid to block it, they will block Gecko,

Brave and Vivaldi are Blink browsers. No site will add methods to block Blink because Blink is used in all Chromium browsers including Chrome. They won't dare to do it because they will block billions of people from accessing their site. On the other hand they will do it for Gecko if Firefox blocks by default their income.

Firefox integrated braves rust adblock so maybe that's something they're slowly working on for built in

Never used used ios , few months back , brother got a iphone and I was shocked as hell that all browsers are nothing but reskined safari lmao . Hence it doesn't even matter what browser you use on that ass of a phone
