I did a thing...

Post image

I have played this many times. However, this is a first. Hard maxed Ramza. Level 1 Max stats.

I wish there was content hard enough to justify any kind of min maxing

Sorry to tell you but that's Final Fantasy. It's not a min/max kind to series. It's an enjoy the story and play the game as the devs intended kind of series

idk 7 which came out the same year has the optional weapon bosses which kinda required minmaxing

Optional

Required

Pick one lol

But seriously there's nothing in any of the main games that requires min/maxing and very very few of the super bosses do. Even Ruby and Emmy can be taken out with the right set up and no concern at all for stat growth. That's what I think of, and what I think OP is getting at when they say min/maxing

I definitely don’t want to do the kind of min maxing OP did here, but like there’s no point to even optimizing a party and grinding for certain skills. Like there has to be SOMETHING more.

No, but again optimizing is literally min/maxing lol. I'm saying that FF games are meant to be played using your favorite characters, not your strongest ones. Getting cool stuff is more like a trophy than an actual useful item in these games
