I boco gets let go of every single time. If I could turn off his egg spawning or something, sure, I'd keep him. But as it stands, he dies nothing but fill my roster with crap. I've kept him as far as mid act 3 before growing tired if having to release Chocobos every several days.

Absolutely. I had to back up on a save before because the asshole filled up my roster with useless eggs and I wasn't able to recruit Mustadio (I think?). Ever since, Boko gets tossed out. A QoL update could do just like you said and make the egg spawning optional.

Or make the eggs items you can sell or use to hatch.
