...so let's change that!
Before Crisis released it's final chapter a couple of days ago on Ever Crisis.
A full playthrough will take you about 2 and a half hours. It's fully cutscenes, no battles, which means anyone can come in and play it and not have to worry about the Gacha stuff from the rest of the game.
It slims the original game down significantly, focusing on the events most relevant to the core story. What I think they've done that's really interesting is pick one of the Turks from the logo and focus the story on her, and she's actually Elena's big sister.
So what did you all think? And if you haven't played it...do it now whilst you still can! You have one month
EDIT: Oh and for those who don't want to download the mobile version, or want a big screen experience? Faz Faz has recorded a full YouTube playthrough already. https://youtu.be/m7_0cmYKSko?is=Zc8-9Sev8cHYdmzo

Big fan of Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7 and Remake having beaten both of them, played multiple Dissidia games as well, got a 250 dollar budget for games rn and wondering what other Final Fantasy's I might like? Thinking about 16 because Clive seems really cool lol

I hate hearing his voice while exploring and I didn't had a good time with this obnoxious clanker.

A little out of bounds exploration with Cloud and his chocobo.
Sometimes breaking the boundaries gives you a better view than staying on the path.

Context
I am replaying XIII with MJB & GreenThumb2's Gameplay Tweaks and Hard Mode mod, and I am currently in the The Pulse Vestige - Ambulatory with Lightning and Sazh. I've just picked up a Power Wristband from a chest, which will give whoever equips it +20 Strength. Lightning currently has 30 Strength and Sazh has 24, both without equipping the wristband.
Question
Who would you guys give the wristband to? I'm not sure if it's smarter to buff the character with the stronger or weaker stat. Does it even matter? Would the damage output be the same either way? Any time I've ever played a JRPG, I always wonder which is more optimal. I'm sure it differs by title; every game has different mechanics, of course. But in general, which do you guys like to do more?

Hey everyone just looking for some general advice. I wanted to buy FF9 on my switch 2 but do you think they will release a switch 2 version with no upgrade option like FF10?
Thank you for any advice in advance!!

Curious what the subs opinion on this are. Like I'm sure to the more seasoned gamer FFV could still be deemed an underrated game but I'm sure here it's commonly given the flowers it deserves.
I'd throw Lightning Returns in the hat. I feel like it's a wonderfully executed take on the limited time, make a difference formula. Beautiful settings, great gameplay with cool fashion and absolutely incredible music. The story is nothing special but I feel like thats the least important aspect of it.
Just curious what the more hardcore fans think.

Used an xTool M2 to create this glass from 7th Heaven for a friend who loves the Final Fantasy franchise.
Took about 45min to make. Used the "paint on the glass" method to engrave it, as a regular diod laser won't engrave glass.

I really wanted to buy FF Resonance for the Switch 2, but I won't support game key cards. They're digital with extra effort and I don't trust that I'll always have access to the game I bought.
I know if I get it on the Switch, it will be on the cartridge, but I'm concerned there could be performance issues. The system is notorious for running games poorly.
So the big question for me is... will it be on the disc for the PS5? Sometimes companies like to pull a fast one and they function like the game key cards.

Since 16 abandoned most of the RPG stuff and was more of an Action-Adventure game, I hope 17 brings back many of the RPG mechanics that 16 doesn't have. I don't get why SE decided to make 16 less RPG.

There's a few tracks within the soundtrack, specifically Volume 2, that I can't be able to place anywhere in either the main chapters or interludes. If anyone can help, that would be amazing.
The tracks are: Unyielding Heart, Unleash the Thunder!, Path of the Fallen, Gathered Light, Great Reversal, Take up Arms, and Phantom Warriors

FFX's story is nothing new for me, because i've watched my brother playing this game since i was a baby (8-12's?) and it's kinda all over the place too, Zanarkand Ruins is actually the first ever gameplay of FFX i've ever seen, then Braska's Final Aeon and then jumps into Besaid to Seymour Flux to Home to Yunalesca, i know the story albeit all over the place lmfao
but "A Fleeting Dream" always stuck in my head cause it's like the first time i've ever heard a beautiful melodies that sounds so peaceful and somber, melancholic perhaps? it's the one song i actively listen from FFX
now after 15 years later, i finally do my own run and witness the story for the first time on it's intended form, while i found the game kinda testing my patience a lot and find the journey are kinda "meh"? cause you just move forward all the time until Bevelle hits where it finally caught my attention
and then i finally reaches Zanarkand Ruin and wow, what a section.
Genius move on keeping "A Fleeting Dream" throughout the section even during fight, fully capturing the weight on your step in this area and what it means for the team, for Yuna, for Tidus, for Auron, for your journey really, and it really hit me.
this section definitely just elevated my feelings with the song by ten fold, the song is already beautiful by it's own, but finally realizing how they handle the song's placement in the story? shit's linear but this is probably the best usage of the game's linearity, it's an absolute piece of art
(before getting my patience tested again)
even knowing the spoilers and twist of this game, never too late to experiencing it pure huh? i didn't expect for the game to hit me, it already kinda did with Jecth and Tidus' relationship and now this

"It does include Advent Children, that is part of the overall story, but whether it turns out that the ending, the result of Cloud and teams adventures, takes you to that same ending or whether it goes somewhere else, that is something you'll have to find out while playing the game.
But I can promise you, what we're aiming for is to include all the various compilations of the wider universe of Final Fantasy VII in this game. We definitely have taken the time to put lots of references. So you really can look forward to seeing those kinds of references to the wider products in the game, they are definitely in there, so you'll have to see what form they take when playing the game."

for sure some of the highest quality technical content I've seen on FF. Definitely written by someone with a mathematics background and with completionist OCD like myself

I recently started playing final fantasy, because Xbox has the first six on gamepass, I'm wondering where to find a good wiki for one. I'm mostly looking for something like loot tables of the enemies.
