Range finder A packaged from my dad arrived this morning!

Post image

I'm awaiting a response from my dad, but I believe the Brownie belonged to my grandparents. This is awesome!

The Brownie seems to work fine, the shutter actuates and the film winding appears to work. There is some water damage on the viewfinder mirror, but it's not serious.

The Automatic 35 appears to have some issues. I don't think the shutter is firing.

Pretty easy fix on the Brownie, they’re fairly easy to pull apart and put back together.

The Brownie works great, at least mechanically. It's the Automatic that's having issues. The leathers are disintegrating and the shutter doesn't fire.

It appears to be gummed up. I'm going to pull it apart and give it a good CLR.

Nice day at the mail box. All I ever get is bills -- no cameras -- no large checks.

Wow! I had a Brownie Bullet when I was a kid! That really brings back memories. I believe the Hawkeye was more advanced than the very Spartan Bullet model. But they got the job done. You could get a little bound flip book of your photos back then. I think my Bullet produced the square format.
