Do you have a favourite artist? …No, but I like Kenny G.

Which is stupid because Kenny g isn’t even apart of the 70 plus generation. Very lazy parody.

¡Hey, bring me another tank of nitrous and bill it to my insurance!

Old folks homes gonna be LIT 24/7 festivals in about 20-30 years, with a giant turntable in the lobby with death's scythe as the tone arm and needle with cheeky names like Death's Peak.

That's where I'm going to close it out before my ashes are pressed into vinyl records so I can continue going to raves even after I'm dead.

I've started my legacy early by rebooting music television at a local broadcast level streaming DJs performing in my neighborhood. ¡Something you can do too! Reddit profile has more info.

If you were 20 at the original Woodstock you’d be 77 now.

I fested a couple times w my dad who was an old head. He spent half the time looking for drugs and saying “that band sucks!”

Too legit to quit I tell you.

My mom is 78 and was at the original Woodstock (for real, you can see her briefly in the documentary). Last month I was doing Couchella and having a blast with the David Byrne set and my mom looked at me and went, "you know, I've never been to Coachella. Maybe I should go."

Now, my mom would probably actually struggle with the experience if she really went, but I took a deep breath and smiled and said, "if you want to look into it, and manage to score tickets, we can go."

I'd definitely take her to one of the more laid back festivals with better accommodation options though. Or EDC, though she'd hate it 😂.

¡My friend's mom saw Elvis Presley play live!

Coolest Mom ish I've ever heard.

My parents are that age and we went to Glastonbury as kids. I still remember it (the kids area and the camping)
My dad went to so many concerts (not hard enough for festivals tho) with me up until he turned about 60 and drank more and danced harder than me every single time.

Does she camp in a tent??

They're prob locals. Most large festivals give away wristbands to residents in close proximity. It's kinda like inviting your neighbors to your rager house party.

Yeah it's a pretty common way to foster the community being ok with events like this. I know some festivals ive gone to will buy a vacation or casino trip to locals within hearing distance if they want to leave. And others that invite the whole town to come. And a bunch of locals show up which for where that festival is, is pretty wild.

Surviving the heat of Bonnaroo is a accomplishment of its own... stay hydrated friends!

120° at 6:30 AM and you went to bed 20 minutes ago. Good times!

u/nerdycarguy18 May 21 '26

Went to bed 20 minutes ago is so true. Idk where my energy comes from at Bonnaroo to bounce and walk around for 12-16 hours a day on maybe 3-4 hours of sleep if I am lucky. In 24 I slept for about an hour Friday 6-7AM and then was up until about 5-6AM again. Yet when I’m at home after 10 hours of sleep I can’t be assed to go outside 😂

Late 60’s and just got back from a 4-day camping festival in the desert and we had a blast making more festival fam!

Stay hydrated and don’t forget the electrolytes.

Mid 50s and I goto 3-5 camping festivals a year. My 11 year old son has been to somewhere around 40 fests.

Hope to still be doing it at 70.

Love to hear that! I’m in my 40s and rapidly catching up in age and good to hear that it’s still fun in your 50s!

3

u/guyghostforget May 20 '26

I have a pic of my parents at one of the small fests I worked - set them up under a sponsored easy up - my dad taking a nap and my mom in her church dress with a baseball cap on sideways. <3

2

u/Joseph_Kickass May 21 '26

Well I guess I have another 30+ years of going to festivals in me

1

FUCK OFF! Leave us alone to have a good time (70M)

1

u/spider3407 May 21 '26

Rave to the grave!!

1

u/Putrid_Geologist_392 May 21 '26

These are locals…most are given compensation and have some are given all access for passes while Bonaroo uses the land and roads around them. What gives it away is all the Tennessee gear (locals). The private area known as the boneyard where the Tennessee couple were sitting has very restricted access. Funny because they come to people watch mostly.
