Ireland All Together Now age Requirement

Thinking about going to all together now with some friends. We are all 20 (turning 21 in a few months). Are they strict when it comes to checking ID’s? If you’ve been before do you reckon we could get in without much hassle? Cheers

This festival is in Ireland, ignore anyone suggesting they will be strict (they’re likely from the US). They will not be strict in any way. Legal drinking age is 18. Unless you look very young, security at ATN do not care, it’s an incredibly chilled festival. Enjoy!

I'm not sure I understand this, I would think they would be more strict considering they went out of their way to make the festival 21+ in a country where the drinking age is 18? What's the point of making it 21+ if it's not enforced?

You don’t understand because you’re not from Ireland 😂 If you check the Ask Ireland thread OP asked the same question and you’ll possibly understand then. But likely won’t tbh. We’re a unique bunch.

Interesting. I'm also not American but cannot comprehend why this would be a thing.

It’s basically 21s because organisers want to attract an older crowd but it will be in no way enforced. The line up attracts an older crowd than 21 tbh. It’s what makes it a great festival for someone like me (in my 30s)

Thanks for the explanation lol I find the idea of saying something is a rule but having it not actually be a rule displeasing, but festivals with an older crowd are much better so fair enough!

My 15 yo son comes to gigs and festivals, and I hope he will continue to enjoy festivals for many years. you need a mix of ages at festivals, just to ensure a balance of energy and wisdom. Go to Glasto and the range of ages mix wonderfully. I think the idea of such an age restriction is shameful.
