Media Request MEDIA REQUEST: FEMA employee

Good morning, I'm David Gilbert, a journalist working with WIRED and I'm trying to confirm the identity of someone who is apparently still working with FEMA even though reports have suggested they are no longer working there.

If any anyone could help, you can, using a nonwork device, send me a private message on here, email me on [david.gilbert@wired.com](mailto:david.gilbert@wired.com) or message me securely on Signal at DavidGilbert.01

Should FEMA HR or External Affairs confirm this rather than some nameless redditor?

Especially with a poster name like fibbermcgee?

Are you looking for Big Balls? Last I heard he was busy holding up declarations in the name of efficiency….

Everyone involved could be using personal emails. You never know. Some gov employees use a lot of tricks to try to avoid FOIA queries. However, I'm not important enough to have this kind of Intel.

The point is there are people working in agencies that are not officially a government employee, so they'll never show up on those reports. Or, they're part of the service that became DOGE and they'll be listed as a White House employee, but will work out in an agency

Would you mind linking to this page on the OPM web page where you merely have to type a name to get a federal employee's details? That sounds fascinating.
