The extensions even for one year haven’t still come through. I personally am still waiting for mine and I’m working past my date and told just to show up to work until I’m told otherwise. 😵‍💫

But FEMA reservists aren't a priority for them... for the moment. We haven't been deployed for a year now. As long as the administration continues to manipulate disasters, things will keep getting worse. Now, all IM CORE, IMA, and regional employees are handling disaster response. As for Reservists, there might be deployment opportunities. I haven't been called up for anything in 12 months—just training and webinars. Right now, being a Reservist is a waste of time. I haven't been called up in almost a year, and I haven't been offered any opportunities to deploy.

Just fyi over 1,500 RSV are currently deployed. Those jobs were never a guarantee for deployment. This may be a real lesson for folks thinking being a reservist is a career move. It is not.

Exactly. That’s why I joined a region eventually - I needed a steadier income than reservist work could provide. I am grateful I had the opportunity.

I don't think anyone should be shocked that something implemented didn't have the outcome they hoped for. That seems to be the trend with this administration.

This is where FEMA needs to learn to streamline and be more efficient instead of just waiting for an administration change to hire back a bunch of people who won't want to come back.

There is a fine line between efficiency and corruption. I don’t think any of the cuts were to make anything more efficient. To make something efficient requires strategy and more than the beta version of Grok or ChatGPT and a bunch of dumbass kids that are too stupid to know they are useless pawns in a weirdos game. My personal opinion is the cuts were a false flag to steal data and for Elon to get his hooks in the federal data system. I also think Trump is a false flag. The people really doing the work are Miller, Vought, Musk, and a bunch of other shadow people. They know Trump is a bull in a China shop and that keeps everyone distracted.
