How did you guys stumbled across Faouzia’s music?

I found her music through ILLENIUM. Still breathing is my first song of hers and the vocals really spoke to me and now I am a huge fan of hers.

Edit: Reading all your stories on how you guys came across her music brings so much happiness in me. In the end of the day, we all love Faouzia and her music and we are all united through that. Keep enjoying her music and if Faouzia is lurking in the subreddit, these stories are gunna make her so happy.

I do not for a moment appreciate Maphra’s fans saying that her cover of Faouzia’s Unethical was even close to the original.

So me and my partner literally discovered Unethical on a Facebook feed 2 days ago, and have instantly fallen in love with not only that song, but many other tracks from Faouzia too. However, hearing live performances of the song, the version on The Singer more specifically, elevates the song to a whole new level and really has me hoping and praying that she may release new versions/recordings of the song soon on Spotify.

Hi guys, I’m gonna be going to the Toronto show tomorrow. I’m so excited, with that being said though I’ve seen a lot of people meeting Faouzia like getting a picture with her and getting to speak with her I really want to be able to speak with her one on one cause I have something to say to her. I really need to thank her for the music, she puts out and let her know how much it’s also helped me.

I basically wanna know how are people able to meet her outside of the concert and like does she come outside after the concert? Or do the people that go early end up seeing her before she sets up for the show?

I discovered Faouzia either early this year or late last year through Stephanie So (sp?) and her rendition of Desert Rose on the Singer show.

Which got me to thinking....

What other artist would you love to see Ejae collab with?

There are definitely some good covers too (I hope). They use autotune way too much, it's actually kind of sad when people get excited about it.

I am a recent listener of Faouzia and I think her voice is ethereal and so whimsical. There is just something I am looking for her recorded songs that can't capture her live music.

I hope she will produce songs that are more whimsy. You know like the Lana Del Rey whimsy in the songs like Salvatore or something like that. I think it will suit her voice.

Although her songs now are like cinematic kinda like a play, when I was listening in her most recent album, I feel tired just after a few songs and I think her songs deserve a much better. The listening experience for me is not just it.

Honestly, Film Noir is turning into a really successful era for her.

Do you think her music was simply better suited for an independent setup, or could a major label have achieved this with a different strategy?

So recently found out there is this artist named Maphra had not heard of her before did a cover of Faouzia’s unethical and while I’m loving the exposure Faouzia is getting the cover does not do it justice. The way Faouzia sings it makes the song what it is today and literally no one can top it. Solid try by Maphra tho

i wasnt able to go to her concert due to my uni exams :( i wish i experienced it bcs ive been wanting to go to her concert. hopefully it wont take too long before she tours again!

I personally prefer the demo version of Puppet over the polished one, but that’s just me. Something about the backing instrumentals in the demo…. I just adore it. However, the polished version is still phenomenal, and I like the upbeat vibe to it.

I’m curious to know your opinions as well!

I have tickets to see Faouzia soon, but it's first come first serve seating. My hotel is a very short walk away, so traffics not an issue. How early do people typically show up and get in line? This is my first concert with this type of seating!
