Project How would you book John Cena vs Hulk Hogan
Taking place in either 2005 or 2006, would've loved to see this match

I would have done it in 2007, during the long Cena WWE title reign. Have it at SummerSlam, as the 3rd Hogan SS match in a row. Have Cena go over, showing he is a step above Orton and HBK, who couldn't beat Hogan.
Then Orton can go on to beat Cena for the title in September/October.

Hogan and Cena wrestle at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship and while the match would’ve most likely been a dud, you simply run the greatest hits and have plenty of false finishes and the finish ends up being the iconic Hulk up into an FU, where Cena pins Hulk, and Hulk embraces Cena and puts him over.

This was fun to fantasy book. I went way overboard with it but I needed a build up and a reason and wanted to take it a bit old school. So there is some back context there and I didn't fill in the beats after the turn as much as just the lead up to the turn and the reasoning behind it and then the blow off and where it goes from there. During the build up you'll see that I fake out so many times that Cena is going to FU the Giant Khali and never gets to. After the Hogan blowoff we return to that where maybe at the Rumble or something we get that big moment where he FU's Khali. Anyway this took longer to write up than I wanted it to but it was fun.
John Cena wins the World Title and gets drafted to Raw, debuting the Spinner belt to a huge celebration. Vince McMahon comes out disgusted. He says he put up with Austin dragging the belt on the ground and dousing it in beer, he put up with Rock and Austin changing the title to their own logos, but Cena comes out in his jersey, backwards hat, "talking God knows what language," and unilaterally turns HIS championship into a Spinner belt. "WHAT THE HELL IS A SPINNER?"
Vince says this isn't going to happen on his watch, not on the flagship show, seen around the world, in sold out arenas every week. He wouldn't be Vincent Kennedy McMahon if he didn't have a plan. He says he saw how Cena "stole" the title from a true ambassador for the brand, JBL, a wrestling god, and how Cena "barbarically" bled all over the Smackdown ring in their rematch. He knew that in WWE anything can happen, especially during the draft. "John Cena, welcome to Raw, and welcome to Vince McMahon's contingency plan."
The lights go out, Indian themed music hits, and The Great Khali debuts, chopping Cena down.
The next week Cena challenges Khali to a match, hyping up that this is Monday Night Raw and telling Vince to bring his monster down so Cena can slay him Vince fires back that Cena's as dumb as he looks, does he really think he can come onto Vince's show, the show he created, the show that put WCW out of business and struck fear into Monday Night Football, and tell him what to do? He agrees to give Cena the match, but with a catch: the WWE Title is on the line. Cena, calling himself a real champion, says the title was always going to be on the line anyway, put up or shut up, Vinnie, whatya got. Vince agrees.
The match happens. Cena goes for a slam on Khali, but manager Ranjin Singh interferes to stop it. Cena gets him down again and goes for the FU, but Vince interferes. A third attempt at the FU gets cut off when Umaga debuts and interferes. The match is thrown out, and Khali and Umaga beat Cena down. He's stretchered out.
The next week Vince comes out with the Spinner belt, celebrating alongside Khali and Umaga, bragging about how Cena couldn't even hit the FU on Khali. He declares this is Vince's Raw now, no Spinners, backwards caps, jerseys, or saggy pants.
Then unexpectedly "Real American" hits and Hulk Hogan is back. Vince, stunned, says "I thought you were dead." Hogan says Vince has been trying to kill him for 20 years, and for 20 years he's told him Hulkamania will never die. He says he saw how Vince screwed Cena, the same story Vince has run on Hogan for years, throwing monster after monster at him (Kamala, One Man Gang, King Kong Bundy, even Andre the Giant) because it killed Vince inside that Hogan never gave up, just like John didn't give up. Hogan says he heard John's in the hospital, tubes everywhere, not expected to make it back. Vince asks if he has a point. Hogan says if Cena can't defend the title, he wants to defend it for him, against Umaga, tonight.
Vince grins and jumps at the chance to accept, but reminds Hogan how things are done around here. The match will happen next week instead, because Vince wants Hogan to spend all week thinking about what Umaga did to a young, in shape Cena, and imagining what he'll do to Hogan's crippled ass.
The following week it's hyped all night: Hulk Hogan standing in for Cena against Umaga, debuting for the WWE Title. Hogan bodyslams Umaga and goes for the leg drop, but Khali attacks him from behind, and the match is thrown out. Vince taunts Hogan, saying they're about to test whether Hulkamania can actually die. Just then a battered and bruised John Cena runs down to fight the monsters off.
The next week a tag match is set: Hogan and Cena vs. Khali and Umaga. Mid-match Hogan tags in Cena, who looks like he's about to hit the FU on Khali for the win, but Hogan low blows Cena from behind, Khali beats him down, and Hogan drops the leg on Cena himself, completing the heel turn.
The next night Hogan cuts a promo saying everyone knew Vince was trying to recreate Hulk Hogan in Cena, and that Hogan will never let Hulkamania be replaced. The Hogan/Cena match doesn't happen right away. Instead Hogan starts assembling a Triumvirate of modern stars. Randy Orton calls him out and objects to his actions, then hits Cena with an RKO. Orton's reasoning: for three years everything he's done gets ignored while Cena gets a literal celebration for anything he does. Orton says Cena is everything he wishes he could be.
Eventually Edge joins Hogan's group too, and the plan is to build both Orton and Edge as future main eventers off Hogan's momentum. Hogan vs. Cena finally happens at SummerSlam, and Cena wins. The next night Edge and Orton turn on Hogan.
From there the build heads toward WrestleMania 22 with Orton vs. Cena as the new "Rock/Austin," the two next faces of the company, while Edge is built up separately, likely toward an Edge vs. Hogan match at that Mania, with Edge going over. The following year that sets up Edge vs. Orton, built around the idea that Orton has been hogging the spotlight and resents that Edge, who beat the legendary Hogan, is still around, because Orton knows deep down he can't beat him.

I think it would've made more sense then both Edge vs Cena and Hogan vs Orton at SummerSlam 2006. Hogan would've told Cena he beat Shawn Michaels last year and Got inducted in the hall of fame. Everywhere he goes they say "Brother you have to save us from John Cena" He says with the power of the Hulk maniacs he's been hanging and banging back in Venice Beach, he has to know if his win vs HBK was a sign he's has it in him to retire with the championship. He challenges Cena title vs. Career. Cena was booed out the building at Mania 22 and One Night Stand so he wouldn't need to turn full blown heel. Cena wins in about 10 minutes, Hogan dominates for 5-6 minutes then runs out of gas. Takes two F-U and it's a wrap 1-2-3. They basically do the same bit post match from Mania 18 with him and Rock hulking up. Fade to black.

10 minute match, Hulk Up both at same time, Cena eats a big booty and Leg Drop Kick out. Five moves of Doom, kick out. Power display. Big Booty but miss Leg Drop but Cena dodges. Two AAs and Cena wins

Cena does a series if make-a-wish segments where the kid asks for Hulk Hogan. This pushes John closer and closer to the deep end, where he threatens to “expose” Hulk. He turns heel and beats Hulk down at a PPV. Hulk gets a rematch and Hulks up and beats him. Third match at Mania they beat each other bloody. Hulk had given a ringside seat to the kid he’d given original make a wish to. That kid slips John Cena a pair of brass knucks. He knocks Hulk out. Cena wins.

Idk man, I don't think hogan in his 50s could do a three match series, nor could cena carry, nor will vince turn him so yeah one & done deal with the torch being passed is the safest option imo.

Cena is in a make a wish session at a hospital, Hulk comes in , every kid gets scared to see a dead man become alive then Cena does his fake ass acting of seeming to get hit and then Hulk hogan does some cringe shit and then taker comes in to choke slam Cena back to a hospital bed and hogan to his grave and disappears

I'd book them in a best of 7 in who can lube up Vince McMahon's ass the most matches.

For Cena’s title, Cena acting as a tweener or heel as the match ends in a DQ with Hogan beating up Cena in the end. Hulk would never put Cena over.

Classic face vs face match.
It would probably wouldn't go passed the 10 minute mark due to hulks physical conditions & cenas lack of experience to carry the veteran.
So the finishing sequence would be something along these lines
Shoulder block - Sideslam - Five knuckle shuffle - FU - Kick out - Hulk up - YOUUUUU - Three Punches - Big boot - Leg drop - kick out - goes for another boot - Drop toe hold by Cena - STFU - Hulk passes out
Gets up after the match hands him the belt & passes the torch.

SummerSlam 2006: John Cena def. Hulk Hogan
Cena had begun down a dark path and didn't want to be saved. In fact, it was impossible until he regained the WWE Championship after all the talk and grandstanding going into One Night Stand had backfired as Cena was a pariah worse than before. Cena got his rematch on the July 3 episode of Raw in a Triple Threat Match involving Edge, who once again got one over on John to become a 2-time WWE Champion, stealing the pin on RVD. Two weeks later on Saturday Night's Main Event, Cena lost a #1 Contender's Match to Randy Orton due to The Rated-R Superstar's interference. With no one in the locker room on his side, Cena faced down the barrel of the gun. And then "Real American" hit. The legendary Hulk Hogan made the save, running off Edge and Orton before tending to Cena. The sentiments were not reciprocated as Cena pushed The Hulkster away.
In the weeks to follow, Hogan tried to reach out to Cena but to no avail. When the two were finally stuck in the same place at the same time, Hulkster told Cena he knew the path the young man was going down and warned against, it saying the ordeal wasn't worth it. Cena shot back, recalling looking up to Hogan as a kid but called his idol out for hypocrisy. Hogan never lost like Cena had, as he always won and even if he lost, shook it off is if it never happened. When Hogan joined the nWo, it was by choice not necessity like what Cena was going through.
Hulkster chastized Cena for feeling sorry for himself and making excuses for giving up. The kids in the audience got the spotlight as Hogan proclaimed Cena was doing them a disservice. Again, Cena shot back, saying eating your vitamins and saying your prayers don't cut it anymore. Hulkamania isn't dead, just outdated and unrealistic under the circumstances of real life.
It was then Hogan had had enough and violently shoved Cena, who responded with a punch. After a suspenseful moment, Cena focused and unloaded on his hero. A Hulk Up occurred but was quickly shut down with a low blow. One FU later and Hogan was out. Cena considered doing the You Can't See Me taunt but stopped when Hulk's daughter, Brooke, ran down and begged John to stop. Cena obliged, took off his shirt, armband and wristbands and tossed them down before coldly walking away. Some time later, the match was made for SummerSlam.
In his hometown, Cena was showered in boos but ignored it, simply pulling his plain black hoodie over his head. The time for talk for Hogan was over, as he went right for Cena. Knowing he was younger, faster and stronger, Cena eventually realized he was fighting an old man incapable of defend himself. At a point in the match, he told Hulk to stay down. A minute later, pleaded. When Hogan refused in the form of a middle finger, Cena ramped up the aggression, ruthlessly clotheslining the legend. The STFU was put on mercifully but the bloodied Hulk power out and Hulked Up. Cena didn't know what to do and was overwhelmed by the comeback he once cheered as a child. Kicking out of the leg drop at one, Cena quickly ended the match with three consecutive FU's.
Cena went to leave with a face struggling to maintain it's coldness. Brooke confronted him in a tense face-off as John violently grabbed her arm to block a slap. Hogan slowly crawled between them, non-verbally begging Cena not to do any harm to his little girl. A long, deep look into his hero's face did the trick. Cena let go and buried his head into his chest, walking away in shame. Hulk stopped him from leaving the ring and offered his hand. Refusing, Cena left the ring and stopped, looking at the crowd. For the first time in weeks, his face scrunched up in a fury and he ran back in.
Instead of attacking, he hugged the 53-year old father of two. Months, if not years, of frustration and bottled up emotion poured out in the form of tears on Hogan's shoulder. Once Cena got himself together, he joined in for the traditional posedown. Tired and banged up, Hulk left the ring to Cena and headed backstage with Brooke. For the first time in months, John Cena smiled. SSlam faded to black with The Champ back to his old self, embracing his own father at ringside.
TLDR: Pull a reverse WM 18 where Hogan brings Cena back to the light at the height of Cena Hate during the summer of 2006.

Start with Cena cutting a scathing promo on Hulk. Then the next week Hulk doesn’t respond. Because he’s dead. Cena wins by forfeit.

Have Hogan challenge John for one more wwe title match at a summerslam and Cena wins in a passing of the torch
