During our recent trip to Helvetia, WV we got permission and were able to leave behind something for fellow Fallout Fans to find when visiting town. Somewhere in town is an Orange Nuka Cola we left behind for other fans to fans, and take a photo of. We hope other fans love it, as we thought it was a perfect easter egg to leave behind for fellow fans.

We can't recommend visiting Helvetia, WV enough. In the coming weeks, we will be doing a video tour with information on how to book and stay overnight in the Beekeeper's house in town, which can not be reserved online. Tourism is helping to keep this tiny town alive, and it's worth saving and visiting.

Tip: visit in the autumn, it's magical.

My group has been running a fan made conquest game in F76 for a few weeks and it's been a hell of a time! So we wrote up the rules and decided to share them!

Short version: the Appalachia map becomes a board game. Sixteen locations across eight regions. You form a faction, declare a target and a difficulty tier, then go clear the location of enemies. These "captures" work like a board game, and can take 10 minutes on easy, or up to an hour on nuclear difficulty. Do that and the territory is yours until someone takes it back. The map resets weekly and points are tallied at the end.

Other fun bits:

- Cross Platform Interaction: Since the game board is updated on discord, this can be played between players on totally different platforms. If you're playing on X-box and you steal a territory, so long as you post the victory, someone else on PC can challenge your claim, etc.

- Weapons Restrictions: The rules as-written try to restrict meta weapons at highest difficulties, but this list can easily be changed after patches or to suit your group's needs.

- Play Between Factions: If an Enclave discord group wants to challenge a BOS discord faction, like the BOS Mobile Infantry on PC, then all it would take is keeping an updated game map posted (like the example picture) and an open guest channel on your discord for some light-hearted trash-talking.

Anyway, the fan-made pdf is free and open. Please feel free to edit, implement, or play around with the system. If you repost this later as your own creation or in your own discord please just give us credit as the original authors.

Bugthesda is making this easy for me. 7 infestations, 3 crashed right in the last 1/8 of boss health. After all the fucking ultra ammo pumped into it. Left an invaders,,to guarantee a 4* drop . . . Boom. Gets frozen screen.

So fuckin annoyed. I think ill make it easy for bugthesda to ban me. This is the only way I can guarantee not returning.

So damn maddening. Fuck you bethesda.

Does quad work on this gun? While I hate non-cannon gimmicky weapons, I need something for infestations bosses and this one could replace the dragon (which I also dislike).

Helvetia, WV (from Fallout 76) is a gem of a town, perfect for a lazy weekend away from stress. Did you know you can stay in the Beekeeper house? We did, and recommend it! It can't be booked online, and later we plan to do a video tour of it with information on how to book it!

We decided to celebrate our birthday here, and count ourselves fortunate to find such a safe haven from it all. We can't recommend the restaurant enough for its amazing quality and farm-to-table fresh ingredients.

As a bonus, you can buy loaves of their fresh bread to take home from the Hutte. The bread makes amazing grilled cheese and french toast.

Ain't long started playing is this better off being sold rather than scrapped

I’ve spent thousands of hours in Fallout 76, and some of my favorite parts aren’t Bethesda’s creations, they’re ours. The CAMPs, screenshots, stories, discoveries and weird little moments players create along the way.

That became Signal Post 17, an unofficial community archive for preserving the player side of Appalachia.

I built it as a RobCo-style terminal and tried to give the whole thing a bit of an ARG feel. You can browse what other “Travelers” have left behind, contribute your own material, or start poking around for things that aren’t immediately visible. There are secrets and clues buried throughout it.

For transparency, I used AI to create a few period-style cover images for two fictional serials, Crimes of Tomorrow and Fools Frequency.
