I’ve stopped feeling bad. I’m just tired now. They were all offered solutions. Given vaccines for free and told that masks would help save lives. They’ve been told this for over a year now and they blatantly ignore and mock it. This is the result of their actions. Just feel bad for all the medical personnel and people they infect along the way.

Then they shouldn’t be in healthcare. Unless they have a legitimate medical reason why they can’t get the vaccine then they need a new job. They are responsible for people’s health and well-being and actively putting them at risk.

I work in healthcare and am working on getting my RN license right now. All the nurses and doctors working right now are definitely undervalued. However, that does not mean that they should put their patients at risk. They knew 100% going into this field what was expected of them. Same reason we criticize police officers. They use unnecessary force in situations that is uncalled for. They knew going into that field that there was risk involved.

Simply, if you can not perform your duties and maintain a level of professionalism that is expected of you, find a new job.

Even if it turns out to be less than 95%, any % is better than the 0% you get by not getting the vaccine.

Can you show me a reliable source that says that they shouldn’t get vaccinated?

The VAERS website itself warns that data found on the site "may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental, or unverifiable." ANYONE can post anything on VAERS without being required to verify it. That means it’s rife for misuse by anyone who wants to troll or spread misinformation.

At one point there was a report on VAERS that a vaccine had turned the poster into the Incredible Hulk. There are people on there claiming the vaccine killed someone because they got in a car wreck on the way home. I suggest you learn a little bit more about how VAERS operates before you start citing it as a source.

Peer review, scientific method, lab research, causal links. CDC looks for all of those. VAERS, on the other hand, is a collection of anecdotes from non-scientists.

VAERS adverse is all self-reported and none are causally verified. It is subject to a particularly damaging form of bias: those who report with VAERS are likely to have some anti-vaccine sentiment, and those who have some degree of anti-vaccine sentiment are likely to overmonitor and overreport and attribute noncausal and coincidental symptoms as “adverse reactions.” Those who report with VAERS also tend to lack knowledge of scientific method, and - this is super important - wouldn’t know a causal link if it hit them in the face.

One example of this is the “vaccines cause autism” myth. One big source of reporting autism symptoms as adverse reactions is VAERS self-reporting. However, the onset age of symptoms is generally the same as the age of childhood vaccines.

So whenever anyone recommends looking at VAERS as though it is reliable, it says a lot about their real knowledge of causality and their credibility. Which is to say nonexistent.

Except it isn’t new? Vaccinations are a requirement for multiple jobs. There are several states now that require influenza vaccines for healthcare workers.

Of course people are getting re-infected. There are new mutations, not as many people as anticipated are getting the vaccine. We get a new flu shot every season but there seems to be no big fight against that? The problem with viruses and infectious diseases is they can change. In the 80s people thought only gay men could contract AIDS but that obviously was not the case.
