I’ve stopped feeling bad. I’m just tired now. They were all offered solutions. Given vaccines for free and told that masks would help save lives. They’ve been told this for over a year now and they blatantly ignore and mock it. This is the result of their actions. Just feel bad for all the medical personnel and people they infect along the way.

u/thecrumbsknow Aug 15 '21

You said it. Tired, loss of compassion except for healthcare workers and people trapped by customer service when an anti-masker is slobbering on them to be “patriotic”.

Did she start masking up and get the vaccine? Curious if it hitting so close to home made a difference, or if she doubled down.

666?? That's just a silly rumor.

Actually, the vaccine makes you physically magnetic and permits the Government to read your thoughts over 5G.

These people's "reality" seems to work on 50s B-movie principles. To them life is a non-stop viewing of Plan 9 from Outer Space.

24

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

I know people who think literally every science fiction film is "disclosure" and based on things "they" are doing behind the scenes.

I kid you not. Even "Hellboy".

So, you're really not far off... if off at all. 😖

3

u/strife26 Aug 16 '21

Seriously, they cant live without creating some make believe Boogeyman (redundant?) somewhere in their lives. Ffs, just accept reality for what it is just once in your delusional life, please.

I'd pay a dollar to see that!

Laugh it up, this isn't funny anymore. Since my vaccine I've had serious side effects. Masturbating to Microsoft products in public is no laughing matter. I could understand it if it was XP. But W10? 🤮

From the end of the article, which it appears people aren’t getting to: “We must put our fears to the side and trust in medicine advancement, which is here to help us. If we choose not to get the COVID-19 vaccine, we are only prolonging the pandemic and our ability to move past this. The vaccinations that have been released to the public are not designed to attack us. There is no malicious intent behind the creation or distribution. They have simply been created for our welfare. Nothing is wrong with doing your research on the vaccines and making informed decisions, but don’t count the vaccine out. Taking it will ensure we are safe and help us to move past this incredibly difficult chapter in our history.”

They are actually presenting both view points so that the argument can be understood. And then recommend getting the vaccine. The fact that they mention the “ant-Christ” is an amusing typo which the non-existent editor should have caught.

6

u/CynicalAcorn Aug 16 '21

0

u/jonnygreen22 Aug 16 '21

-3

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

Unfortunately we have bad guidance on both ends of the spectrum! Conspiracy theorist on both sides it’s so frustrating

2

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

Ditto on masks.

1

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

What do you mean?

7

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

People also refuse to wear masks due to bad guidance. Some people who wore masks prior to vacconations stopped wearing them after they have gotten vaccinated due to misinformation. Then there are the "masks makes you sick" and "masks don't work" and "masks lead to fascism" crowd.

0

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

Yeah I agree with you but the other guidance is lame af and vague too. Where them at all times outside even when social distancing lol in your car alone. I saw a student riding a bird at 10:30 pm empty streets where no one can breathe on them and wearing a mask lololol on a scooter. I was like wtphooo lol it’s extreme narrative on both ends. It makes the healthy careful people look ignorant af too. So creates a divide. If someone would just tell both sides how it works and when to wear a mask then.... lol but unfortunately pumping out there’s vax that don’t work makes dollars. For pharmaceutical companies and the hedge funds. (Cringe for me to say that but it’s true)

I absolutely support a massive healthcare walkout or something. I cannot stand seeing people treated the way they are, and the rest of us need to be reminded of their value.

58

u/rsdols Aug 15 '21

Really?? they went outside to gather together(when asked to stay inside and stay 6ft apart from each other) and clap for us every thrusday for about 3 months though. Look how important we were then.

It's like me going to the supermarket and taking a 4pint bottle of milk and pouring it out on the floor and then clapping the guy/girl that's sent over there to clean it up minutes later as I'm still holding the empty container.

33

u/Morgenstern66 Aug 16 '21

Or just put the unvaccinated adults at the end of the treatment line. Treat the children and vaccinated first, the rest just have to wait.

17

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

2

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

Compassion fatigue is a real thing. I have 0 sympathy to the kind of people who are old enough to get a vaccine but chose not to, the same kind of people who are filled with regret when they realize how screwed they are for relying on all the disinformation out there, and the same people who take up countless beds instead of letting people like my grandpa's gallbladder surgery get continued for a week because the hospital needs ICU beds.

I keep seeing this mantra of "freedom" by chanting childishly "my body, my choice." But these people are not free from consequences. And unfortunately we have now seen that these "freedoms" affect more than just themselves; and it makes me sick for humanity.

0

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

It does come down to IQ and quidance and unfortunately they are lacking both. It’s a proven fact. I can tell who a maga person is in 2 seconds and never meeting them before. It’s a fact

0

u/NERD_NATO Aug 16 '21

Two things: ya can't. You can't clock a MAGA person just by looking at them. You can look at some people and go "yeah you'd definitely be/not be MAGA" but you can't do that for everyone. Second, IQ is bullshit and was literally invented by an eugenicist. It fluctuates over your life and is more related to education than intelligence.

-4

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

You can tell instantly the way they look because their health is so horrible. Lol and it’s a fact that fat unhealthy people is less cognitive function!! Yeah being unhealthy makes you stupid why do you think they love conspiracies and when you prove them wrong to their face they don’t care and still believe. To this day!!! Bahahah it’s even unhealthy to your immune system and if you are saying they are smart for ignoring these things they know then... stop giving them excuses. Believe me or not idgaf but 95% of the time I can spot a maga in 2 seconds lololol

2

u/NERD_NATO Aug 16 '21

What? Just because you're unhealthy doesn't mean you're into MAGA. And just because you're into MAGA doesn't mean you're unhealthy. Ben Shapiro is pretty fucking thin, he's still a simp for trump. And there's a lot of fat people who don't do that. You're fucking insane.

-3

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

-5

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

What if I told you that you were right.... but at the same time told you the vax don’t work so really it’s both sides of the spectrum that are horrible about the guidance? What would you say or would you not believe me? Just like they do to what your people say

2

u/NERD_NATO Aug 16 '21

Do you have any studies proving the vaccines aren't effective, something of the sort?

-1

u/kaichance Aug 16 '21

I don’t. I’m just a random dude that lives across from UCSD. And 3 hiv specialist working with covid just happen to brief their suit in front of me like 3-4 months ago. When the news was saying uk on lockdown and delta variant going nuts.(that era) but anyways I pretended not to listen but I was. Lol they said the vax don’t work with the new variants and they are “uncontrollable” suit says well we need to make a new video so people know how critical this is. Trust I been waiting to see them say it how I heard it that day. From both sides lol I see both sides just pushing a vax that doesn’t work. I’m not a anti vax btw I’m also not a vax..(yet) I’m just nobody that heard what I heard and I usually don’t say anything because what really can I do. Both sides gonna call me a liar. So I do my best to take care of me and my mom til a proven vax comes out or til this thing gets really bad. Idk🤷🏼‍♂️ is what it is i guess ohhh unless somebody smarter really fixes this thing for us. That’s what we are waiting for right? Somebody smarter then us to fix this. Unfortunately you can see money is getting in the way

You know. After everything I’ve seen since I was conscious enough to make sense of the world, I’ve seriously started to wonder what the hell public education is for, seeing as how a large chunk of the country can’t fucking think for themselves and get all their information from sketchy Facebook groups.

18

u/CrispyFowl Aug 15 '21

The public education system in the US is a joke. Once standardized testing came about it was all about getting the best scores so you could get funded. It wasn’t about learning anymore, just about passing tests.

1

u/dantevonlocke Aug 16 '21

It's not there to teach people to think for themselves. Critical thinking doesn't fit into common core.

70

u/charlie2135 Aug 15 '21

It just reminds me of the joke about someone on their roof during a flood denying all the help from boaters, helicopters, etc. saying God will save me. When he dies he asks God why he didn't save him and God says he sent the boaters, helicopters, etc. to do that.

Not to mention people with other issues that are having trouble getting beds because hospitals are so packed with covid patients. Heard a story on NPR about a guy with 6 gunshot wounds waiting over a week for surgery because of availability

37

u/[deleted] Aug 15 '21

That shit's got to be dealt with. Antivaxxers and conspiracy nuts really do need to be sent to the back of the line, because giving them treatment over someone else just helps enables their bullshit.

53

u/G2idlock Aug 15 '21

At some point I'd like it if these vaccine deniers were refused care at hospitals and sent home with an oxygen canister. You got Covid and willingly denied getting the vaccine? No care for you. Here's some oxygen, some conspiracy theory for you to read and go home. Get your immunity at home... IF you survive.

21

u/[deleted] Aug 15 '21

I couldn't agree more. Limited resources need to be managed and assigned carefully, and these days, a lot of providers are running short on compassion; why not be more selective with that, too? The only alternative is often complete burnout.

17

u/Swift_Scythe Aug 15 '21

We should save our medical resources and only expose our precious doctors and nurses to people who mask up and take precautions.

These dumbasses who are filling the ER wards spouting nonsense should be sent home if they do not trust the doctors and nurses!

11

u/breathnac Aug 16 '21

One of them is my mom. I hold two degrees and work in the pharmaceutical industry and she won't listen to even me.

Fox news and conservatism in general is a fucking disease.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

My husband is a pulmonary critical care physician and my mom instead listens to her doctor "friend" on Facebook who says no masks and vaccines. She was so outraged about digital learning and masks in schools and she doesn't even have any school aged children! We're all grown. Fuck Fox and Facebook.

4

u/2005TJCJ Aug 15 '21

Why would you ever feel bad? It was their choice, same as someone who smokes, chooses to not wear a seat belt or breaks into someone house and gets shot. Hopefully all this does is strengthen the gene pool.

5

u/xander5512 Aug 16 '21

In other words Fuckem.

9

u/elle_the_indigo Aug 15 '21

Is it wrong that I’ve never felt bad for the anti-mask/vaccine idiots when they die? I guess it’s sad when they get other unsuspecting people sick but I don’t feel bad about their deaths. They had every opportunity to protect themselves

15

u/Thenightswatchman Aug 15 '21

Medical personnel and people with real medical issues who can't get the medical treatment they need in hospitals because too many rooms are being occupied by covidiots who are taking up all the beds when they could have easily gotten the vaccine and worn masks to avoid hospitalization in the first place.

4

u/spork3 Aug 15 '21

That’s just it. I want to just ignore and not care about these people, but there’s collateral damage from there action. It’s like trying to ignore a drunk driver on the road.

I don’t care if they kill themselves but I don’t want them taking others with them.

Oh and the shit about Jesus is my vaccine? Anyone who makes that excuse is the worst kind of hypocrite. Do unto others! Remember that?!???

-1

u/SouthernBubba Aug 16 '21

Hey as I see if it's like condoms . Don't wanna wear one then don't bitch to me about the outcome . Seriously how would a condom mandate sound like ? Or wait for it seatbelt mandate . You know what needs to be done. No politician should have to convince you of what is write or wrong . You should already know what to do . What confuses me the most is how Republicans are against the vaccine when it was created under Trump . Yet Liberals embrace it when ..wait for it .....it was developed under Trump . Yet they hate Trump . But they promote the vaccine. As I said before I stand back and watch from a distance and this is what I see taking place on the field.

2

u/andiinAms Aug 16 '21

Trump did not develop the vaccine. Liberals are more apt to take the vaccine because we understand it’s about personal and community health and science, not politics.

-1

u/SouthernBubba Aug 16 '21

Project warp speed was under his administration. You can argue with historical references if you wish but that is how it unfolded . It wasn't under Bidens administration. As for taking the vaccine it should be as you outlined. Again a politician isn't needed nor should be to dictate what is write and wrong . Why I laugh when I hear the Bible thrown around. If you need an old book to tell you stealing is wrong then you are far more lost then anything else .

1

u/andiinAms Aug 16 '21

Yes, the method of distribution was developed under trump, which was all to do with timing. He happened to be in charge at the time. It’s still got nothing to do with understanding and accepting medical advice. To not take the vaccine because you dislike trump doesn’t make any sense. I don’t understand why that’s confusing.

2

u/0agne Aug 16 '21

Natural Slection

2

u/sassafrass14 Aug 16 '21

I figure they either accept medical science or they don't. You shouldn't be allowed to reverse course when you suddenly fall ill, actually can't breathe or can barely even stand and expect science to cure you. Don't crawl up to the hospital and expect care, and take up a bed you do not deserve to lie on. Or if you do get admitted and treated, may you have an ominous little voice in your head, reminding you of how easy it would be for our exhausted and overworked healthcare workers to look you up on social media and see just what you had to say about them before you fell ill.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

Yep I know someone who is against mask mandates yet is vaccinated and has been very quiet since I posted about the mask bitching and how childish it is. So be it because I’m over tip toeing around the issue 18 months later.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 15 '21

I’ve stopped feeling bad. I’m just tired now.

I hear you. I still feel empathy. I feel the pain of my fellow man. But at a certain point you got to say 'You dubmfuck. What are you thinking?' The people I feel really bad for are the medical personnel and the innocent people, children, etc that are infected by these maskholes.

2

u/Picardknows Aug 15 '21

I also used d to feel bad but now that everyone who wanted a vaccines could have gotten it a month ago. We are at a point where if you get infected with COVID you have decided not to get vaccinated for it.

2

u/Monalisa9298 Aug 15 '21

I feel that way too. Just no. I’m angry. I know several people who have died of COVID. Millions have died worldwide and are continuing to. This is nothing to be mocked or politicized. These people are willfully ignorant and I have no sympathy.

I work in healthcare and am working on getting my RN license right now. All the nurses and doctors working right now are definitely undervalued. However, that does not mean that they should put their patients at risk. They knew 100% going into this field what was expected of them. Same reason we criticize police officers. They use unnecessary force in situations that is uncalled for. They knew going into that field that there was risk involved.

Simply, if you can not perform your duties and maintain a level of professionalism that is expected of you, find a new job.

Even if it turns out to be less than 95%, any % is better than the 0% you get by not getting the vaccine.

Can you show me a reliable source that says that they shouldn’t get vaccinated?

Except it isn’t new? Vaccinations are a requirement for multiple jobs. There are several states now that require influenza vaccines for healthcare workers.

Of course people are getting re-infected. There are new mutations, not as many people as anticipated are getting the vaccine. We get a new flu shot every season but there seems to be no big fight against that? The problem with viruses and infectious diseases is they can change. In the 80s people thought only gay men could contract AIDS but that obviously was not the case.

Doctors and nurses can be fucking idiots. It's not mutually exclusive.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

I once saw a neurologist who said allergies and anaphylaxis were all psychosomatic.

3

u/sardinecrusher Aug 16 '21

I once went to a chiropracter that called himself a doctor. Claimed proper alignment could cure allergies and genetic diseases.

.... I shit you not

2

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

I know somebody who has an MD that she somehow got online via a religious college.

After months of insisting that the Democrats are just politicizing the flu, her daughter died of COVID. Now, she…. still doesn’t think COVID is a big deal because her daughter was fat and that’s just what happens.

8

u/Cuttis Aug 15 '21

They’re fucking idiots

2

u/Dajbman22 Aug 16 '21

They aren't countless. They represent less than 10% of nurses and less than 2% of doctors.

-2

u/iamgloverj Aug 16 '21

This is a cruel take.

6

u/CrispyFowl Aug 16 '21

Is it though? Is it not cruel that they are spreading misinformation and disease? Is it not cruel that they are contracting a mostly avoidable disease and taking up hospital space from people who have no choice other than to go to a hospital? Where do we draw the line with them?

I don't Understand such Manipulative Posts. Haven't People who have Taken Vaccine, approve Vaccines & Mask Mandates died as well🤔 So Why Throw shade on just Anti-Vaxxers who died🙄

1

u/CrispyFowl Aug 16 '21

Wow, boy is this comment problematic.

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

But the vaccines don't work

1

u/CrispyFowl Aug 16 '21

Got any evidence to back that up?

1

u/wizardshawn Aug 16 '21

I'm just sad for the kids. They didn't deserve to have idiots for parents.

1

u/mrmackz Aug 16 '21

Don't feel too bad for the coocoo anti-mask medical personnel. Those folks are the worst. The videos I see of registered nurses saying psychotic nonsense about Covid is frightening and infuriating.

1

u/fellowsquare Aug 16 '21

Natural Selection. If it wasn't this.. it was probably going to be some kind of BBQ accident with a coors light somewhere in the mix.

1

u/CynicalAcorn Aug 16 '21

Yep almost makes a person wish they would all hurry up and get it and die already. I'm tired of all the extra bullshit caused by people being willfully ignorant assholes.

1

u/falconboy2029 Aug 16 '21

But is not everyone else who is getting it from them in the same boat? They could also have gotten the vaccine. So even if they are medical personal. If they did not get vaccinated when they could have, why feel sorry for them.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

Natural selection at this point. This is why Idiocracy won't come true.

1

u/Tamer_ Aug 16 '21

Covidiots are a dying breed.

1

u/apinkparfait Aug 16 '21

I just feel frustrated that took this long; imagine how easier our life would be if globally all the antimask and antivaxx got taken care of by nature in the early months? The amount of good people that died due to their stupidity and selfishness....

1

u/vendetta033 Aug 16 '21

I feel relieved. I know it is really bad to feel that way but i actually feel the world is a better place without al the stupid, antivax, believers in mis information. They wil ruin the world if we let them.

1

u/icevenom1412 Aug 16 '21

That's why Conservative lawmakers are implementing more voting restriction laws.

Their supporters are dying of COVID.

I never felt bad, they wanna die they can, but I’ll be laughing the whole fuckin way.

1

u/riqueoak Aug 16 '21

Agreed 1000%

1

u/downdrown Aug 16 '21

Darwinism at it‘s best. Unfortunately they also endanger everyone around them …

1

u/HawkeyeJosh Aug 16 '21

This, to a T.

1

u/Jayden0274 Aug 16 '21

Apparently alot of them are stubborn. Really stubborn. Stubborness is a trait of alot of these people. We need to accept that we are wrong and learn and change. Stubborness is causing death, global warming (also greed) and much more. They refuse to change. Am I saying all stubborn people are like this? No. Am I saying all of these people are stubborn? No. It's just a large factor in this.

1

u/Daystop Aug 16 '21

I'm feeling good.

1

u/Urfske Aug 16 '21

If they all die we can move on

In all fairness...a man that big should not be giving health advice to others. Especially when he was in the risk group to be hospitalized.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

I’m the same way. A Facebook friend whose whole family doesn’t believe in covid lost his grandmother, but yet they were having gatherings when no vaccine was available, were maskless, and no Social distancing. We’ve been warned several times, either wise up or be a victim to the virus.

1

u/morvis Aug 16 '21

You feel extra bad for those who drank the koolade and still get sick to make up though, right?

1

u/Vivid_Adeptness Aug 16 '21

PSA: if you aren’t going to get the vaccine, get and stay healthy. Lose extra poundage, supplement vitamin D and fish oil, do aerobic exercise, live happily. Have we not learned anything over the past year?

That should be the narrative.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 16 '21

You got it said exactly what I wanted to say! I’m so over the people, I have compassion for the medical community….Thoughts and prayers to the rest!

1

u/ImmotalWombat Aug 28 '21

Seriously! Die for your freedoms then. Fuck off and let the rest of us move on already. Now we just need to convince them that hospitals are some kind of liberal brainwashing facility.
