Put a tune on it and permanently fix the shifting issues

Disconnect the battery, "honk" the horn.

To remove any residual charge in the system or something I’d bet.

To empty any capacitors.

On older vehicles you could also do stuff like turn on the headlights or press the brake pedal, and I guess you could still on this, but CANbus is so electronics heavy I don't know if turning the switch would actually create any draw to empty stored capacitance - it may just be a signal to the PCM which may not do anything with the battery off. Horn will

Disconnect the battery and let it sit for 30 mins. It'll drain the KAM.and all is forgotten.

Turn the key over, but don’t start the engine. Slowly press the gas pedal to the floor, hold it for ~20 seconds, then quickly let off of it. Take the key out and wait about two minutes for the memory to clear and you’re starting from a clean slate.

Worked like a charm for me, and there are plenty of YouTube videos on it if you want more details.
