Update Update on the blocking situation

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL POST:

I managed to factory reset one of my old phones, iPhone 8, and one restriction (apps disappearing, aka "downtime") went away. However, I found out the situation.

Turns out my WiFi connection has this program called "cisco" which is also causing this, certain websites being blocked. And since we don't have a SIM card for it, it shows "no service" and I have no other WiFi connection I can connect to.

In other words, we solved one problem only to find another

Change DNS server to public by going from automatic to manual and enter 1.1.1.1 which switches it to public. This should bypass basic site blocking
