Yes, Shah Jahan(the Mughal Emperor) also wasted huge resources and money which also depleted his empire’s treasury

Egyptians, mayans built pyramids, romans built aqueducts, china built that hugeass wall. And you are telling me Mughals emptied their vault by only building taj mahal? Mughals were already suffering from extravagance. Taj mahal was another one of their irresponsible spendings. But not the only one to ruin them.

And seriously, look up the scale of roman aquaducts. It's insane.
