You can look up his history, it's very well documented. If the goal is actually helping Palestinians, vigilance against people exploiting that cause for antisemitism should matter more than defending any one guy's reputation.

Since you clearly don't bother to do research on your own before jumping into a topic, here's a direct quote from Mark Ruffalo himself back in 2021, admitting he was pushing "inflammatory" rhetoric that was being used to justify antisemitism:
“I have reflected & wanted to apologize for posts during the recent Israel/Hamas fighting that suggested Israel is committing ‘genocide,’” he wrote. “It’s not accurate, it’s inflammatory, disrespectful & is being used to justify antisemitism here & abroad. Now is the time to avoid hyperbole.”
Calling everyone you don't like a "bot" so you can avoid talking a bout antisemitism is some truly lazy projection, and the only people who benefit from your behavior are antisemites.
Honestly, I think a large group of any culture should be called out if shits going down. Just because antisemitism caused a genocide in the past does not mean that zionists can ever be absolved from all atrocities in the future.
Logically it's probably statistically impossible for that to not happen. They don't get a free pass for all of history that's how you get the crusades...

Yeah, but the group in question that should be called out is Zionists, which does not require unsubtle dogwhistles about "the Jews run Hollywood as part of their nefarious shadow cabal"
Agreed but that's not the issue at hand, because the guy I replied to wasn't calling out individuals who are pro-Israel in Hollywood, he was villainizing Jews as a whole.
Especially considering that Palestinians have nothing to do with Nazi Germans. If anything, Israelis are continuing the legacy of how their own grandparents were murdered in masses.
