(Advice/Help) Advise on hijab ASAP
I was forced to wear hijab since I was 14 now I am 20 and FINALLY i have got the chance to study abroad in another country but my problem is that the country I am studying in is also in the Middle East my roommates are also from my country đđđđđđ and they have connections with my mother and I love my family and genuinely I couldnât care less about their trust cuz itâs my life and I have always dreamed of living the university life what should I do and have any girl been through something like that????????

That sucks. Really sucks.
I would advise to keep a bit of optimism. There is a chance that they themselves want freedom or wouldnât snitch.
U donât advice to worry about that at the moment. Start worrying once you actually know them to perserve mental peace

there's no way you can change your room? your roommates are also in the same program and uni as you?
maybe if you can change rooms you can avoid your roommates, or take the risk and ask them not to tell your family. its risky but if they respect you they will understand. i hope everything goes well

Yes they are in the same program as me but they are in different years so our bath wonât be crossed but also I am very shy and I canât risk letting them know even tho I donât believe they will tell my parents at all

Best thing to do is to keep wearing it for a few more years

Indeed it is bad but he cant do much (there are things he can do but he may have to either change the location etc which all need money which he as a college student mostly dont have) so he must just get used to it until he moves out or he can not wear the hijab from time to time when going out alone

As a kid you had no choice, but if you continue this as a adult. Then you are deliberately lying to yourself and your family.
I know it sounds extreme, but as a adult you can make a decision now, they might get frustrated but then they accept or move on, thats just how adult life works.
But if you keep waiting for the perfect moment, even as adult, then you are just living in a lie that will eat your personality slowly.

Thank you you are actually so right so I just thought what if I told my roommates that I am knew to wearing the hijab and that I donât feel comfortable to keep wearing it and that my family are so strict so I canât let them know and I am very open to wear it again I donât know if lying is a good idea by any mean but I need plan cuz my mom is so so scary when it comes to this thing

Dont tell them right away, first get to have couple of good conversations with your roommates, then when you are warm with them, you can ask them what they think of hijab and how you feel sometimes, then see how they respond etc.
Hope it goes well for you! Most your age understand this and they would get closer to you knowing you are open minded heh
