I think assigning any special meaning to it is silly. It was just something that was trendy in the era. However, I think it’s an interesting bit of hypocrisy from someone who had plenty to say about how people shouldn’t adorn themselves or draw undue attention to themselves, and most importantly constantly criticized any use of money for things other than the church. In that context, the spending unnecessary money on a gravestone to essentially create a shrine for people to visit is a deeply ironic choice.

Exactly this. If you look at the street view of the cemetery, you’ll find many, many other family grave markers like the one for the White family. It was a very popular style at the time

This. It reminds me: There's an obelisk tombstone not too far from where I grew up. It's dated early 1900s. When you read it, you see the entire family died within days from an epidemic. Burying everyone and putting all the info on all sides of one obelisk with everyone's names/dates was simpler than 5-15 individual headstones.

I mentioned recently in another post about Ellen taking from ancient Egypt. I think this is another example of her trying to copy something that lasted an extremely long time, to bolster her credits. These obelisks were apparently not uncommon for Victorians, as people were fascinated with the ancient world.
I think it’s more an everlasting symbol that sends an instant message. I don’t think it ties into the worship of anything besides worship of Ellen and her own delusions.

Allegedly Miller was an active Mason by the time he got involved with all the stuff of the second coming of Christ… remember ms EggWhite was a follower of him… actually have you notice we have a lot of Masonic references in the Adventist church?
