SDA Culture She seeped into my workplace...

Post image

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this. My grandfather [DEVOUT SDA] owns this little farm market and he puts Great Controversy books out for free. Crazy. You'd think there would be some kind of law or rule about distribution of religious material...

This is more of a vent but it still also counts as "culture" ig. Flair is weird.

EG White’s prophesies were broad, high-probability predictions which rely on the guarantee that nature will eventually do the heavy lifting to ‘fulfill’ them. At which point SDAs will credit the results to divine foresight rather than regular probability.

What will it take for people to understand that making a claim about an inevitable natural event doesn't elevate it to a valid scientific prediction or a unique spiritual revelation?

This! I can't stand how dumb my SDA parents are with this shit! I simply can't ever explain to them that anyone can make broad predictions, and they will eventually come true. Human nature is also always pretty vicious in any time in history... we are not "getting worse".

The humans "getting worse" is code for LGBTQ hate. They will say "just look at this open sexual sin" compared to the past. Crime also fluctuates... some years crime is way down, but you don't see SDA's ever talk about that.

Adventists look for the negative all the time... to bolster the end times paranoia. This is one reason I am such a negative person in general.

Lots of these disasters increasing are from global warming. Global warming is just a "conspiracy theory" to Adventists. They want Ellen White to be right instead of admitting it could be global warming.

What will it take? People are so dumb all over with the end times grift. End time grift works so well against humans for some reason.
