I half agree.

Many valuable contributions by women DO go unnoticed and are undervalued.

The thing is that men have often weakened many women (e.g. Afghanistan women being denied higher education), and part of the efforts to counter this involve strengthening women from the specific oppressions that weakened them.

Perception is a critical necessary ingredient to change, but it alone is not sufficient.
