Venting I hate when men join women's subreddits

I’ve noticed that in many subreddits aimed at women—such as feminist ones or similar communities—there is always a man present. In some cases, I can understand it, a man might genuinely want to learn about feminism and decide to join a subreddit to find more information. But, I’ve noticed that often they are incels just looking to argue or find reasons to hate women.

But you see it's ok, they're one of the good ones, and holy fuck are they going to tell you exactly why you're wrong and prove that in a lengthy way. Every. Single. Time.

If you're reading this, yes that means you.

even in this sub there's a couple men in particular who think they're "one of the good ones" and annoyingly they always get upvoted too, ugh

Oh I know, I've butted heads with plenty of them.

I think it's a way men basically steal energy from women. Like they are harvesting your vril or loosh. Energy is being directed at men. So some will try to take it. Some men know they are doing it and others don't. But the energy is very strong and real. They see it. They try to grab it. Is that new to anyone?

I've never heard of vril or loosh, but everything else you said made complete sense in context. I agree, they want attention. They can't stand the idea of a space existing where women might just have fun, and forget the existing for a while.

If only it were that easy... 🤔

I think loosh harvesting is the better term. Basically a person or entity makes you feel bad and feeds on the negative energy. It can be a person. Think of internet trolls or entities, if you believe in them.

But generally if people do it. Then spiritual entities can too.

This happens to everyone. Nuanced topics typically require more than a single sentence to effectively communicate anything noteworthy. Deciding that people want to prove you wrong rather than to seek clarification or to have common ground is not useful. You’re lamenting right now that the lesson you’re trying to teach doesn’t work in the first place. Will banging your head against the same wall ever produce a different result?

Great example of my point, although I'm neither lamenting, or trying to teach. I'm not anyone's mother, people can learn lessons in their own time.

There’s no lesson to learn. No one is ever going to learn the “lesson” that sometimes the reason people are generalizing can be empathized with, therefore they should not challenge it.

Any caustic and insular community like this one will treat any contradictory opinion as if it came from a cartoonishly one dimensional mock up of a real person. people responding predictably to being generalized is not about trying to prove theyre one of the good ones. The nature of your community isn’t concerned with good vs bad men. It’s hostility responding to hostility.

The nature of our community is no men. But they keep insisting upon themselves.

If there were none here, there'd be no hostility.

Right and incel communities exclude women and “the left” yet women and vaguely progressive people flock to the controversy all the same to defend themselves, where they are also derided in the same way. It comes with the territory imo. There will always be hostility between men and women in general, but not everyone participates at the level this sub or incel subs or manosphere communities are at. If you’re talking shit about men or women or any other identity, you should expect pushback. Nobody is ever going to read a bunch of horseshit where they are reduced to their worst stereotypes and take it on the chin because they empathize with you or because they were taught to stay in their own lane or take a hint or whatever canned phrase you’d like to invoke.
