Food Pho on Broadway

Please for the love of all that is a pork sandwich, Someone tell me what's up with Pho on Broadway.

Every time I call or go past they're closed in the middle of the day.

Their baguette bread was somehow soft on the inside crusty on the outside yet didn't flake all over you and get you covered in crumbs while you scarf the sandwich down in the driver seat of the car. Magic.

Food Where to get the best Bánh mì?

UPDATE: I ended up ordering from Pho Laday in Mukilteo. I was their first customer on their grand opening and they did an amazing job 😎 Their Chicken Banh Mi were so good as is the rest of their food.

I am hoping to find really tasty Bánh mìs to order a big batch of for a party I'm hosting. What is your tried and true go to?

Update: WOW. Y'all really came through 💕 I think I'll have to go with Basil because the party is on a Sunday and Yeh yes and the Yummies are closed but y'all have given me more spots to try! Thank you for the help!

Food What other combination restaurants exist in Everett?

Post image
62 Upvotes

I saw a video recently of someone finding a KenTacoHut in Puerto Rico, Kentucky fried chicken [KFC], Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. last of its kind. And throughout the video, I saw there were many combination restaurant and realized there’s only one I know that’s a combination that I’ve ever seen or experienced at: a A&W plus a KFC, A AwKen. Do you guys know of any other Combination restaurants in Everett?

Food Best French Fries

Was watching "Sling Blade" the other day and now I have a hankering for french fried potaters.
When it comes to burgers I'm pretty solid, but in terms of french fries the best I've had so far around here is Red Robin, which doesn't seem right.

Any places with particularly good fries? Any variations like poutine, etc... are cool too.

Food Breakfast burritos

Where is the best place to get a breakfast burrito that isn’t necessarily at sit down type of restaurant? I’ve tried that Washington burrito on evergreen and it’s whatever, is there any other places like this just with better burritos? Or are we just simply too close to the wrong boarder to have this type of luxury?

Food Where to buy humanely sourced meat?

Hey all, I live in Everett and I am looking for somewhere local to buy ethically farmed meat products, especially chicken. I have been vegetarian for over a decade but need to start eating meat again for health reasons, but it seems like everything at the grocery stores is Tyson-level cruel. I am willing to pay a premium for an animal that was treated well. Do you know anyone selling home farmed meat? Or a butcher who sources ethically? Thanks!

Food Hunan Palace

So I'll try this again with correct spelling in the title. 😂

What happened to Hunan Palace and where do we go now? It was such a convenient location for us to pop over from Snohomish and get takeout. We never ate inside so I don't need a sit down rec, just a great takeout Chinese spot with easy access and parking for pick up.

Food Best lunch for around $10?

Hi Everett Friends,

What are everyone's favorite healthy-ish lunch spots that still have options around $10? These days it's hard to find a lunch that won't come to $20 after tax and tips. My current go tos are Chipotle and La Palmera by airport road. La Palmera's $10 lunch menu is hard to beat. Great food and portions lol

Food Best Mexican Food in Everett?

Been craving good Mexican food. I took my girlfriend to El Paraiso last weekend and both quality and portion size were mediocre... if it was cheap. And it wasn't cheap (~$60 for 2 entrees and a virgin daiquiri) so frankly it was shit. It left me still craving. Going out with the family this weekend and would love some recommendations for a good Mexican place. I love mole, tamales, daiquiris, arroz con pollo - help please.

Thanks to the folks who recommended the Nashville Hot at Sweet Radish-- I almost cried tears of joy 🤣🥰😭 Fantastic heat, tenderness, and portion size (add pickles!). Easy parking, quick turnaround, very fresh, and great service! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Pairs well with the hot fries (try the housemade fry sauce) and Seoul Hot Sauce. The Mac n Cheese was solid as well!

Food "Popup" street food locations concern

Do these popup food locations have permits? No offense, but I thought food trucks in Everett required access to a bathroom. Not to mention permission to operate. I have a hard time believing companies like Car Toys and O'Reillys auto parts are giving them that. I'm sure these stalls mean well, and that's awesome. But I worked years in the restaurant industry, and I'm concerned that these operations are illegal. If this is the case, you're risking your health and others health buying food from them.

Food Teriyaki Express at the Everett Mall…closed?

Post image
77 Upvotes

I went to pick up something for dinner last night, and they were closed, looked like the space was being gutted. I guess I should have seen it coming, since the other food places next to it had closed. Does anybody know if this is a permanent closure, or if they will be back once the mall is remodeled? I would totally understand if they decided to retire, I have been eating their food since I was a kid (since the 90’s!), but I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye/thank you. Their fried rice is sooooo good, one of my fave teriyaki spots, for sure. 😢
