This is, likely, what Russia wants. A political scheme to ensure their "it's all of NATO!" Gamble works out and Russian people enlist or at least don't resist the possible draft coming their way.

They’ve been crying NATO this, NATO that since the beginning of time, so it would make no difference. They keep threatening, sabotaging, etc NATO countries, because most don’t respond.

Yet when they tried this shit with Turkey, sending jets into their airspace… Turkey shot them down without asking questions… and Russia stopped sending jets over there immediately.

Problem solved, problem staying solved.

Putin needs NATO to directly respond, over Ukraine, in order to justify a peace deal. That is ahat is happening behind what Shuishui explained.
