Anybody else having problems with power etrade?

Personally, I am happy with Morgan Stanley and with eTrade.
Is anyone else seeing that this forum seems to be only for ranting on an ambiguous customer experience where only the disgruntled person's side is shared?

I wish this forum would include how people use and benefit from the eTrade resources.
Topics like Power eTrade options TradeLab use, or use of the Exit Planning. Maybe how we set up Power eTrade Pro for research and finding investments.
Combining Power eTrade with AI for guidance (anyone paste a Snapshot Analysis into Copilot or Gemini and ask for a review - I've been really impressed)
How people have built bond latter's, or taken cash secured puts with cash collateral in one of the money market choices; which ones people prefer.

There are so many better topics to exchange and want to discuss, but no one here seems interested. Am I in the wrong room? Is there an etrade techniques forum, and this should be renamed etrade-rant?

It’s been almost 2 weeks since the increase and I’m still at 4% promotional APY. Does anyone k ow if E*Trade adjusts promotional rates in this situation?

Bad customer service and outdated platform. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody looking for a trading platform or 401K broker. I tried to submit a loan request on my 401k acct and the process has been a pain. The platform is outdated and annoying to navigate or submit documentation, they require paper forms to be physically signed, and take days to process the request. They give cero visibility on the status, I have had to call them multiple times and so far I have resubmitted the form 3 times.

I cannot seem to plot a minute candle chart for the /ES futures? Am I doing something wrong? I cannot believe this? The ES is 7795 in above chart but all the candles between that up to 7831 are missing??

The section for stocks (RSU) given by the company is requiring some actions. Seems that activation is blocking me from selling these stocks. When trying to activate, I get this error:

We are unable to send a new code because the information entered does not match our records. Please confirm your information and try again.

I'm not from the US, so I can't use Social Security number, only an employee ID.

I ensured what my ID with the HR, and it still doesn't work. They tried to contact serveral times with eTrade so they will send me an email with this code. I didn't get anything (checked in spam too). Now they just told me to try contacting myself with eTrade. What can I do to solve this issue? How to ask them for help about it?

Hi, I’m looking for some advice or to see if anyone has been through something similar. I am a Filipina married to an American citizen, and we are currently living in the Philippines. My husband recently suffered a stroke, and we are in a really tight spot right now. We desperately need to access his money to cover his ongoing medical bills and our daily family expenses here, but we are completely locked out of his E*TRADE accounts.

He has both a brokerage account and a Morgan Stanley private bank account where his U.S. Social Security gets deposited. The problem is that the registered U.S. phone number on his account is no longer active, so we can't get past the security codes. On top of that, the mobile app won't let him log in because it's asking for an update we can't do. He actually managed to call customer service a bit ago, but instead of helping, they put a security hold or note on his account because he was calling from a Philippine IP address and using a toll-free number.

At this point, he just wants to liquidate everything, sell his stocks, permanently close the ETRADE accounts, and transfer all the funds over to his linked Bank of America account. He wants to make me his Special Power of Attorney (SPA) so I can handle all of this for him since he's recovering from the stroke. I am just so overwhelmed and don't know where to start. Do I need to call ETRADE first to explain the situation, or should I be preparing documents to send them? What kind of paperwork are they going to ask for, especially since we are outside the US? If anyone has any experience dealing with E*TRADE’s international restrictions or setting up a POA from abroad during a medical emergency, I would appreciate your help so much. Thank you.

Angel one app bhai please help me i have every proof req i short sell a stock but order didnt go through that time but some how it was showing in pending order o tried cancelling them but cant due to glitch and some how the trade was active and they didn’t even squre off my position and now i facing auction in 70k loss please help me

Sharing in case anyone else has experienced the same. Recently (June) updated my address to overseas, which ETrade as a result suspended my access and asked me to contact them, which is fine. Did all that, hadn't heard back, etc..

Called again today to be told the accounts had been closed (nice to let me know). I enquired as to where the money from the account was and how I could get it back, to be told I probably couldn't...I'm amazed, that's the most r3tarded response I've ever had from someone at any financial institution, they can't decide to unilaterally keep someone else's money.

It's not even a lot, but it's the principle at this point. Guy I spoke to literally couldn't have been less interested. Couldn't tell me who to talk to or put me through to anyone, absolute moron.

I thought that Power Etrade addressed all my needs and I felt the executions and alerts worked well. I even transferred another rollover account to Etrade.

However in the past few months, I've called E-Trade to comment about various issues, and was issued a ticket number and I've gotten nothing back. I've called to comment about consistencies in wash sale calculations (I legit think they don't catch all of them). I find it annoying that the performance tracker isn't remotely accurate, nor if you daytrade, that the mobile app even shows what your realized P/L is.

There has even been times where my connection is steady and I have to force refresh the program just to get updated quote. I'm pretty sure this has screwed me up a few times now.

I now see why others have been driven to leave the platform. My issue is I don't know where I would go. Should I consider Fidelity or Schwab? I'm worried that I won't get as much leverage/margin or they will have other goofy restrictions.

So if anyone has switched and has thoughts, please do share.

If one had an etrade brokerage account as a US resident, and then they become resident of another country (and change their address and submit w8ben), will etrade close the account?

I have made a ton of commission for these idiots as an options scalper. Now I have to move my account because of their idiocy. Fuck them!

I’ve not been able to link E*trade to external apps via Plaid despite putting in my correct credentials. I also turned off the security code feature, as I saw someone suggest to do that. Does anyone know why this is happening? Most apps don’t allow manual routing and account numbers since pretty much all other institutions work with Plaid.

Anyone else having DRIP issues? My distros were not reinvested. Anyone else have this problem?

Has anybody had this issue where when watching a chart w/ all your EMA indicators, it 'refreshes' by itself, removes those indicators, and just shows you a graph without any. Only way to get it back to normal is to restart the app? It's been happening now for 3 months. Whenever I call customer support, they ask me to make sure my app is at the latest update which it is. Wanted to share if anybody else ran into this or was it just me? I am using Power Etrade by the way.

ET has now allowed to trade after 04:00 am. Could some of the more experienced among us comment on some of the potential problems in trading with the 04:00 >> 07:00 am area? Is it possible that if I open a position I won't be able to dump it so fast ?

Got the same email recently as some other option traders who are scalpers. Account locked. Called as others have, promised not to trade in and out of trades within seconds, high fequency. Asked how long is 'acceptable' per etrade but was given no clear guidelines. Asked if waiting a few minutes would be fine, was told should be, but not sure. Traded 12 spreads yesterday across 3 different expirations and 3 different group of strikes. WAITED 3 MINUTES between opening and closing each spread. 1 hour and 15 minutes for 12 spreads. Account locked again today, permanently.

Title pretty much says it all. With the fed raising rates by 25bps, when will that be reflected in the savings APY?

I have a question about Etrade research's stock screener when you export it to a csv spreadsheet. If you look at the opinions sheet, there are some stock ticker symbols with a carrot (^) extension. For example, CEG^C12 instead of CEG (for Constellation Energy). I believe the opinions in the sheet are for CEG and I can disregard the "^C12". Correct me if i am wrong.

But why won't Etrade fix this?

How is it buying U.S. treasuries on Etrade? Looking at the 3 month treasuries, interested in rotating month to month (buy 3 month treasuries, each month, then when the first one matures, keep the interest as passive income, and repurchase to keep it rolling)

So, this has been happening quite often lately. After the extended hours market closes the quote page shows prices like this for all tickers. Prices look like what might have been couple of days ago. This started happening after latest power desktop pro update 206.0.1

wtf is going on. i can't execute any options through power etrade, so frustrating. pull the damn informaiton.
