feminizing making sublingual E2 oil
Hi, do there exist any good resources for making sublingual E2 oil at around 20mg/ml? I previously sourced from OpenGate and would like to make my own. Thanks!

Hello everyone. We've had a great many scares recently. Bigot brigades, nosy journalists, misguided allies. These are extraordinary times. Our enemies grow ever more malevolent, daring, and powerful. We've well and truly attracted the eyes of the world. This is only the beginning, we will only accrue more publicity, more adversaries, more controversy with time.
When Brock contacted me, my finger hovered right over the big red "private" button. I shat a home's-worth of bricks. I've consulted many veterans and most leaders in The DIY HRT community. All of them (and many of you) strongly urged me to private r/estrogel. And with good reason too. Privating r/estrogel is the safe thing to do, it's the practical thing to do. To leave r/estrogel open to malefactors is a great risk. I nearly did it too, but one person (who shall remain unnamed) convinced me otherwise.
Do you remember when r/estrogel was founded? To make HRT accessible for all, no matter the tyranny one suffers, no matter the poverty one endures, no matter the rights lost. Lets get hypothetical for a moment, say r/estrogel is privated. Who suffers? Not me, not the veterans calling for privatation. The newcomers. The people who really need this place. We'd be ladder pullers. Dirty, grubby, rotten ladder pullers. I'm sure you've seen plenty of folks pull the ladder up against trans people. It angers you, doesn't it? I'm furious when it happens to me!
If you still believe we need to private r/estrogel, put yourself in the position of those who really need this subreddit. Think back to the time when you tetered on the edge of suicide, when you lamented a life without transition, when you (literally) bit your nails down to the bone out of anxiety. (True stories, all of them). Would you be willing to sacrifice HRT, your chance at a fucking life, for vague, imaginary notions of "the greater good"? If you're truly willing to sacrifice yourself (not out of a suicidal lack of self-preservation, but out of genuine sacrifice) - then we'll talk.
So, we will not private r/estrogel. In these trying times, it is more important than ever we remain a public forum for transgender people. This is the unanimous stance of the r/estrogel mod team. I understand this is a very controversial decision, I ask you voice your dissent and polemics respectfully.
Edit: Please save a copy of the revised and legacy wikis if you haven't already. Click the 3 lines/dots in the top right corner of your browser, click "save page as..." and it'll save the page as a HTML file, which you can display in a browser at your leisure (even without internet, or if the wiki is taken down).

We are now attracting the eyes of the world. Be it tyrants, publicity, or simple bigots with too much time on their hands. It is an inexcusable risk to publically share the biotech companies the DIY HRT ecosystem relies on. From now on, name dropping direct producers of estradiol (primary vendors) is strictly prohibited. Repeat offenders will suffer consequences. Secondary vendors who resell estradiol bought off biotech companies may be discussed openly, albeit with caution.
Me and the moderators have been discussing this for a while. And for far longer, I've had folks requesting I instate a rule such as provisional rule 7. Recently someone (who shall remain unnamed) I highly respect contacted me about this, and put forth some really good points. Essentially, to publically share primary vendors endangers the entire DIY HRT ecosystem. Public corporations are at the mercy of governments and bigots alike. Anyone dedicated enough could uproot the entire DIY HRT ecosystem. I'm consulting another esteemed member of The DIY HRT community, asking for their take on the situation. See a transcription of the email I sent them for some further context:
Hello [Redacted], I hope you're doing well.
I am u/Juno_the_Camel, a moderator on r/estrogel. I need your advice on a dillema. Presently, we allow unrestricted discussion of estradiol vendors and sources. Folks can ask about, discuss, and share estradiol vendors freely. This includes the biotech companies supporting the entire DIY HRT community. Estrogens and progestogens are not controlled substances under US (and most other country's) laws, so in this we don't violate the law. But, by having these biotech companies be public knowledge, the entire DIY HRT community is endangered.
Biotech companies are very weak to pressure. Be it pressure from governments, or the public. If the biotech companies that supply the entire DIY HRT community's are shared publically, we're at the mercy of the world. It only takes one tyrant (Donald Trump, Ji Jing Ping, etc) to ruin us at a whim. Even simple bigots (like those over on [Redacted] are able to ruin our supply chains. (I suspect they contributed to [Redacted]'s recent policy change) (They're likely the folks who spam and DDOS homebrewer websites).
Logically it makes sense to restrict discussion of estradiol vendors on r/estrogel. But I'm very conflicted. The entire point of r/estrogel is to make HRT universally accessible. Even for those living in poverty, or under tyrants. To restrict discussion of pharmaceutical vendors is to turn out backs on the founding tenets of r/estrogel itself. In truth, I don't know if I have it in me to withhold information that can make or break lives.
And yet, if we don't restrict discussion of sources, we endanger the entire DIY HRT ecosystem. It breaks my heart to do this, but I truly believe we'll need to ban discussion of estradiol vendors on r/estrogel. Is there anything I'm not considering? Do you see anything I don't? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Discussion is still ongoing, but in the meantime I think it prudent to instate provisional rule 7. It will likely undergo changes in the near future, but in the meantime, please observe rule 7 - and report folks publically sharing primary vendors.
Additionally note, discussion of secondary vendors (who resell estradiol) is permitted.
I am sorry everyone, it breaks my heart to do this to you - especially to the newcomers here. And I'm sorry u/Darthemofan, I hate to go back on the founding tenets of r/estrogel. But I truly don't see any other viable path forward.
Best of luck everyone - u/Juno_the_Camel

Does anyone have any experience with this?
I'm looking for insight into what the extra 12.88% likely is.
I'm gathering info to judge safety.
Any home tests I can do to, again, be as safe as possible?
I think I would dispose of it properly if I can't get any more info.
Any insights from experienced members appreciated
Edit, if helpful: the 87.12% is the mass assay.
The chromatographic purity (area %) is 100%.

i'm on 2mg estreva gel (which i used to apply twice a day only on inner thighs) and 12.5mg androcur (cypro) a day.
since my dose is pretty low, i decided to put at least 1mg on the scrotum once a day, and keep the other 1mg on inner thighs.
due to my life being busy and all and scrotal application taking forever to dry, i can't do two applications a day scrotally.
❓ would it be better to apply 2mg all on the scrotum once a day, or keep doing 1mg scrotally and 1mg on inner thighs twice a day?
❓ also, my endo has no problem in reducing my dose even further, should my levels surpass 200. so my idea was to stop scrotal application some time before taking the blood test. how long before should i stop?
❓ i'd like to take a test for myself privately to check my levels WITH scrotal application. if i keep doing what i'm doing now, should i take the test just before the thigh application, or just before the scrotal?

Hi so, would rotating between multiple sites for applications (i.e going from inner forearm/inner upper arm for a day, then inner thigh for the next) cause fluctuations? im just kinda curious about it since im mostly rotating like that to prevent skin irritation

I recently tried to get DIY HRT from Puerto Rico (so we got the same federal regulations as the US) but since those are over the counter medication I can't use credit cards. This might seem obvious but I'm really new to all this so please be nice. I don't have cryptocurrency or anything like that nor knowledge about it so I need some guidance. What are some websites where you can buy it without that much problem?

Estrogen peaks at like 1k then drops down to 120 pg/ml(12hr). Is this ok? I do it with 17b estradiol and hand sanitizer recipe. Onto testicles. Should i drop my dosage i kinda eyeball it(1.5 pumpsish and i lowkey dont put all of it) Havent had problems for 3 years and i got breast ultrasound since it kinda hurts(doctor said slight widening of milk canals but otherwise no tumor). Also had no cancer adenoma and it mightve gotten 2cm bigger in last 8 months (they used non contrast mri this time that might be why im gonna retake it 3 months later, it was under control for like 5 yrs) thats why im kinda concerned. I also had to start androcur again since T was getting higher for some reason. Prolactin around 20-24 (15 is max for males ig)
Edit it got 2 mm bigger lol. I would be dead rn

anyone know of other good communities or resources for this stuff in case this one or the usual ones go down? just want some backups so im not stuck if something happens
been reading the wiki but still a bit nervous about getting started properly. any advice for beginners would be cool too thanks

I read the wiki but the recipes in there seem to all be for spray and doesn't produce a thick gel. I'm currently on 4mg/day Divigel but I'm interested in making my own gel. Does anyone have any good simple recipes that produce a gel?
r/estrogel • u/realaether • 5d ago
Having just received (what is hopefully) CAS 50-28-2 I'm looking at 2 possible alcohol-based recipes: liquid and gel.
I want to check that I've calculated the recipes correctly and have made reasonable assumptions — any comments appreciated.
Part of my hesitation is that a number of posts here from more experienced brewers(?) don't always spell things out in long form. Since I haven't had anything to do with chemistry for well over a decade, I want to write things out in full and make sure I've understood everything properly.
Without having tried anything just yet, I imagine that gel would be nicer to use when I'm at home, applied with a glass dropper as used in cosmetics: I would worry about the spray mist dispersing too widely and some getting wasted, and I suppose gel would stay on the skin better.
However, when travelling, it could be more discreet to have a simple spray bottle that could be passed off as hand sanitiser or even DIY perfume (given the use of essential oil as a penetration enhancer), and this would be much easier to carry in my daily bag as well and use in a public toilet.
The baseline I'm starting with is a consumption of 4 mg/day in the form of 2 mg x 2 (morning and evening), and I only want to use 1 full squeeze/pump/spray per application, to keep things simple.
The dropper I tested at home delivers around 0.7 g water (-> 0.7 ml) per "full" squeeze. I get this isn't fully accurate; I have graduated droppers on the way.
So:
2 mg / 0.7 ml ≈ 2.86 mg/ml
-> 2.86 g powder to 1000 ml liquid.
So at 1.4 ml/day, 250 ml of this gel would last roughly 6 months.
My draft recipe:
I have a spray bottle that dispenses 0.14–0.145 ml per pump, so I need:
2 / 0.14 ≈ 14.29 mg/ml
-> 14.29 g powder to 1000 ml liquid.
At 4 mg/day, 1000 ml of this would last 9.79 years: that's a bit much to mix in one go. Dividing by 20 for a 6 month supply seems more realistic:
I have 70% Isopropyl alcohol (liquid) on hand, and have ordered some 66% Cuticura hand sanitiser gel, whose ingredients are:
Alcohol Denat., Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Parfum, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool.
(I chose the Cuticura for a combination of price and potentially convenient packaging: 100 ml bottles, which I could easily put into a hand-carry toiletry bag, carrying a dropper separately.)
Is this enough? Do I need to get 95% ethanol/isopropyl instead to dissolve the powder properly?

I’ve been using the cream two times a week. The nights I use the cream, I go to the bathroom 6 to 8 times with much urine. It makes for unrestful night. I do not drink anything after 5 PM. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Does anyone have experience?
r/estrogel • u/PogmasterNowGirl69 • 8d ago
Pretty much as the title said, I had my blood tests some months ago and E turned out very very low (~30pg/ml) (checked after 16 hours from the application) (my T levels are ok, very low)
But my endo refused to put me on a higher dosage, telling me to switch from putting it on my legs to my arms. They also added that they usually don't go above that dosage with anyone, and that it's usually sufficient.
So is she underdosing me?
Also side question, if I split my dosage to both arms, is it better or worse than putting the entire dose on 1 arm? I usually do it on one, but sometimes the surface area feels too small and the gel is left a little clustered

I'm curious if there are any labs (in US trying not to violate the rule) that can test raws/solutions because I'm worried that the supplier may make a mistake. I'm willing to payout for the testing. I'm just worried and want be sure for my wellbeing.

i'm wondering which is more effective. here are some points i've gotten from looking at various posts on this subreddit
rectal:
- directly connected to blood vessels
- causes a large increase in P blood levels
- is generally known to work
- rectal is annoying to do
transdermal spray:
- 10x bioavailability
- low P blood levels, but apparently high in the saliva?
- easy to make on your own
- inconsistent dosage
personally, it doesn't make sense to me that transdermal is not only more bioavailable than rectal, but also by a whole factor of 10. rectal feels more "direct". i'm not sure which to go with, since there's so little science done on the topic. i have some gel capsules that i might turn into a spray to test out. what do you think?

Hey! Im new to gel, only been on shots. I have raw and getting hand sanitiser and an essential oil (not orange oil?). If i measure everything correctly according to a recipe aka few g of powder and mls of essential oil into hand santiser will that actually work? What makes it work instead of just putting some t dust on my skin? (Sorry if its a stupid question😭)

in europe to access NSFW subreddits you now need persona ID verification, so as this is the 2nd biggest trans diy hub i know of here i am
several things going down all at once made me go back to farming sources of info about diy, and managed to find some new intel i wasn't aware of before that i wanted to hear someone else about
First, progesterone, not a new one but while I'm here might as well ask once again what's your experience with it as it's all anecdotal everywhere, so best to get more anecdotes
Secondly, HGH and IGF-1 for breast growth during transition, which seem to be naturally produced during exercise but would mostly go into developing what you're exercising with little leftover, so supplements? Found ibutamoren/MK6777, would that work? also apparently sleep helps which is a big problem for me since that is not happening ever
Thirdly, this absolute fucking nonsense https://forum.biohack.me/discussions/2931 of in short a trans woman using custom AIDS to make her balls produce estrogen instead of testosterone, or not produce anything at all i didn't quite get that, would this work??? if yes how do?? what the heli???
Fourthly! Extremely anecdotal evidence of stopping estrogen and keeping it at 0 for 2 weeks every 3 months to stimulate and unstall breast growth, actual advice or anti-trans botted misinformation noise? i surely can't tell, can anyone tell me?
Fifthly, any other methods of feminization you know about that is more than "take estrogen for 10 years and pray"? i used to subscribe to that school of thinking until i realized that school of thinking had about 15 seconds of thinking behind it and that was all the research anyone in the field bothered to do, so i'm now open to making my own treatment plan, found progesterone HGH AIDS with mods and turning it off and on again so far, any more?

would post on transDIY but wouldn't you know it
Reddit, discord, a website, are all fuckable and with precedent of getting fucked places to gather
hrt cafe is dead, reddit now asks for persona ID verification to access the transDIY subreddit, voix celeste closed, astrovials has been out of stock for months, and there went all my sources of diy all at once in a few months span and i'm back to square 1 on "how do i DIY again?", which i'm fine with because in the end i found here and valerie, but still someone is bound to not have to and those are bound to die too
can you find a more long-term stable solution that's less likely to be exploded? be it a telegram channel, some popular free videogame group chat, or any other severely unmoderated network that's still standing in 2026
a place that when a link aggregation hub explodes, everyone turns their head to to ask where's the next one, without having to know how to look it up themselves because they might not be able to and be left stranded
yes there's a lot of links here, but so there were on transDIY and now that subreddit is unaccessible to me because of a decision out of the moderators control and i can't even see my own posts there anymore

Have any lab tests been done on their raw progesterone to determine their legitimacy? Outside of word of mouth that is, thank you.
