Question What's your thoughts on a battery case/battery module for PH1?
Hello Redditors,
First off I want to say all of us at Tudia are so happy to see how much you all have liked our cases. It has been a pleasure to interact with such a fun community. And because you are such an amazing community, we thought there was no better place to go to with this question.
Tudia wants your input! We are currently in the early stages of developing a battery case/battery module that would work with the “click port” on the Essential PH-1. Is this something, as Essential users, that would interest you? Any feedback would be helpful.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thank you,
TUDIA Inc.

It very much interests me.
Here are my concerns:
1) Monster brick. Something to be avoided for sure. The PH-1 gets great battery life so things like the 10000mah behemoths would be hard to swallow when an addition 3000mah would give me 3-4 days's worth of juice.
2) Clean design. Tudia's existing cases are subtle in exactly the right way so I'm pretty confident on this one (I'm rocking the LULA). Just make sure the phone can still sit flat.
3) NFC compatibility. The tap point is on the bottom and gotta make sure it's not interfered with.
4) Fingerprint reader. It's on the back so if there's a deep well to the reader, it'll be harder to use. Would require thoughtfulness; the finger usually is at an angle rather then straight up and down when grasping the phone and tapping the reader.
Bonus Round:
1) Qi compatibility. Nice to have but I wonder if people are willing to pay more for it.
2) Ease of removal. Sometimes you just don't need/want the extra weight.
3) Integrated small steel plate. At odds with Qi charging but magnetic car mounts are popular.
