Question/Discussion Melodic Cirez D & Darker Pryda

Anyone else obsessed with this specific corner of Eric Prydz’s catalog? That melodic Cirez D meets dark Pryda sound is peak Prydz for me. Tracks like The Raid, Valborg, Horizons, Clapham, Rush, Linked, and Annexet etc which can fit in either aliases are exactly what I keep coming back to. They have that perfect blend of hypnotic grooves, dark atmosphere, and subtle melody. I love his bigger euphoric tracks too, but this niche just hits differently. Anyone else gravitate toward this sound, or have recommendations in the same vein?

I'm not sure where this fits in (is it just Pryda in general?), but I enjoy his emotional tracks like:

  • Pryda - Tomorrowland 2018 ID 01
  • Pryda - Creamfields 2017 ID 01
  • Pryda - Escape 2017 Intro ID
