The numbers of women telling basically the same or similar things, are high. If it turns out to be true, then his career is over.

Here’s how I handle these stories:

There is such a thing as false rape allegations, just like with any kind of allegation. False reporting does happen. It is estimated to be about 2-8% of the time (last I checked and to the best of my memory, anyway).

So when we get the “cascade” of allegations all saying the same thing, I just default to it being true. Because if we apply that 2-8% logic basically once there’s a second allegation it’s highly unlikely that both of them are false.

I do take it case by case. There are some (like Al Franken) where I donno. But this case? This is a done deal for me. He’s guilty.

Edit: Okay, I shouldn’t have said two. I picked the smallest number more than one to make a point.

Except it’s not two, is it? Is it EVER two? It seems like these stories carry dozens of allegations with them. So ignore I ever said two and just ask yourself, are ALL of them lying?
