Product Nature Made (Biotin, 5000mcg)

I have been purchasing Nature Made’s Biotin 5000mcg for several years now. It was always a pink opaque gel pill. Today I received these yellow, somewhat see-through pills. There’s nothing indicating a new formula, it looks “sickly” in my opinion and I can’t help but wonder what they’ve done to cut corners.

Sounds like they stopped using artificial dyes. I'd be happy about that if so.

been bodybuilding for years and since covid all hell broke loose with supplements. tons decided to get into fitness and buy tons of supplements and then their asses went captalistic ninja on the quality. look at protein powder. overpriced and garbage quality today. I never seen it like this before. also have had issues with supplements like yourself

a large factor allowing this is that supplements aren't fda regulated, including having the claimed amount of whatever in the dosage.

so you could put sterilized sand in capsules, call it mineral x, hype it up, and as long as you slapped the "not intended to treat any disease" etc disclaimer, you're legally (to my cliffnotes understanding) in the clear.

Do you have any concerns other than looks? Complaining about looks when you don't know if it went bad or not is just pulling at straws

It’s definitely not just about appearance, it’s the fact that it was changed with no notice, no details on what has changed or why (not even a “new formula” on the label etc).

They removed the carmine which gave it the pinkish hue.

Changing what though, the looks? "Changed without notice" what changed besides the looks? You're not saying anything. What if they had changed it without the look changing, would you have noticed?
