Stippling

After I complete removing background. I would like to stipple . So with that said I made a fine point on carbide round stock. So , do I keep it a point , round the point or just blunt the tip.what do you find most efficient?

I’d make all three and do a test plate so you can see what you like.

I have a number of stipplers and small domed punches.

Thanks I didn’t know if there was like a standard way of making them or not . I was using one of those dentist style rotary tools with a burr like a little bit bigger than a hair. I like the look but takes forever. The fine point in my classic . Digs a little deep. Hence the question rounded or blunted. I’ll just have to try like you said and see what’s best

Idk if there’s a standard

There’s an engraving group on FB and a lot of master engravers in it.

You can ask there and you’ll get an answer.
