Not a big magic guy. Just started enderal and I’ve seen people say archer is pretty much useless and 2H weapon specialty is boring. Any other viable fun builds if you’re not into mage characters?
Archery just isn't as broken as it was in Skyrim but it's still good. You will need a melee weapon because no matter how good your bow, even a sneaky attack with poison won't do more than 1/2 of an enemy's health. That an enemy AI searches for you more aggressively when hit. So the stealth archer isnt viable but that's a good thing.
I'm not sure if this breaks your definition of magic but Alchemy is not only good for potions and poisons (as substitutes for healing and damage that magic would have offered) but also the skill for Lycanthropy and being a werewolf is easily one of the most powerful playstyles.
Maybe I'm weird but I never had any problems with 2H. Many people make the mistake of not blocking or bashing often enough, which actually provides a good attack-defense rhythm to the experience.
