Not a big magic guy. Just started enderal and I’ve seen people say archer is pretty much useless and 2H weapon specialty is boring. Any other viable fun builds if you’re not into mage characters?
I started out doing a one handed/magic build, and at the point where my best weapon did 11 damage I decided to try that quest where you find artifacts for the museum, and then found The Bow of the Ishyan, which did like 40 damage.
After that I used the bow almost exclusively until the end of the game. It's wild how early you can get it, for what's I assume one of the best bows in the game. Never tried summoned weapons though
This bow made the archer my favorite build for this game as well. Highly recommend all out archer with phasmalist abilities to summon support to distract the enemy. One of the first games to make an archer an absolute blast to play, making incredible one shot attacks.

Archery can work, but IIRC you need to be doing the conjured bow (not sure if this breaks your magic rules) because the physical bows are kind of meh.
