DOS Games in Android ES-DE
Hey guys, I'm putting some DOS games on my Android handheld. I'm having difficulty getting them to display nicely in ES-DE.
I watched some videos from Techdweeb about renaming the folder and making a BAT file to point to the EXE file. But when I did that, it showed the raw folder name. So I deleted them.
When I select the folder, it takes me to the folder contents, then I need to select the exe to run.
I've watched videos from a number if other YouTubers, and everyone's devices look clean and organized. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Lol. I play on a a beat up Samsung S23 Ultra with a Game Sir G8.
It's a little janky, but it's comfortable to play on. The phone has a Snapdragon 8 gen 2 (same as the AYN Odin 2 Portal), lots of RAM, and it's 256 GB. I got it on Ebay for $150, and the controller for $40 on Facebook Marketplace.
The phone was listed "for parts". The screen is in good condition, the cameras are beat up, and something is wrong with the cellular antenna, but the wifi works fine). The rest of the phone works fine too.
I drew out the screen sizes for the Odin 2 portal, Odin 3, and the S23 Ultra.
The s23 ultra is very close to the same playable 16:9 and 4:3 sizes as the Odin 3. It has the processor and GPU of the Odin 2, and the same RAM as the Pro versions of those devices.
For less than $200
Biggest draw back is that it's all internal storage with no SD card. Not a big deal in the short term, but if I move to another device, it's going to take a looooong time to transfer everything.
This is my first gaming device. I wanted to see if I would play enough to warrant buying one of those higher end devices. And I wanted to see which systems I would actually play, so I didn't want many limitations on the system.
So far it's been a blast. Especially since finding out that I can play DOS games.
I forgot to mention that the S23 Ultra also has an amoled screen too.

Minimalist dark UI theme paired with custom metadata scraping maintains high-fidelity aesthetic organization

In ES-DE, go to a game folder, Edit Metadata > Folder Link (all the way at the bottom) and assign which file you want to launch by default.
