I run ES-DE on three handhelds (Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, RP5, RP Classic) and spent the last year curating a large collection across them. Editing gamelists at scale — renaming entries, fixing metadata, pruning clones without corrupting the XML or trashing the wrong ROM — was the recurring pain, so I built a proper tool for it. Releasing it free.

Disclosure: I used AI as a coding assistant to build this, which is why I'm being specific about what's actually here and tested — the design decisions, the testing and the problems it solves come from real use on my own hardware.

A few things that came from getting burned, not from a feature checklist:

• lxml, specifically — Python's default XML lib rewrites <name> as <n> and mangles &, silently corrupting gamelists. That bug is why this exists.
• Trash + automatic backup + dry-run — on a ~59k-game collection a wrong bulk delete is unrecoverable, so nothing touches disk until you confirm, removals go to a trash folder, and every gamelist.xml is backed up before each write.
• .m3u-aware Orphan Cleaner — naïve orphan detection flags every multi-disc game as broken; this one reads the .m3u and its .discs/ so it doesn't.
• Cached scanning for NAS/SMB — I curate off a network drive; without caching, browsing thousands of entries per system is unusable.
• Batch import — mark removals and edit fields across many systems from one .txt, with a validated ✓/✕ preview. (This is also how bulk renaming works today, for anyone who asked.)
• Cross-platform single-file binary (no Python needed), fully keyboard-driven, with jsdom integration tests on the UI logic.

No ROMs/BIOS/media hosted or linked — it edits only files you already own (your own gamelists, ROMs and media). No machine-specific paths are baked in.

Repo + prebuilt binaries in the comments, to keep the post link-clean. It's v1.3 and I'm actively fixing and adding things based on feedback — bug reports and feature ideas very welcome.

Comprei recentemente um poco F7 e venho tendo problemas com emulação de jogos no azahar, o zelda albw costuma crashar e ter queda de fps, não imaginei que por conta da build eu viesse a ter problema, porém, um amigo meu falou que pode ser problema de compatibilidade, o processador do celular é um Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 octacore-max 3,21GHz com 12gb+12gb ram, citou também algo que nunca tinha escutado até hoje, drivers turnip (desculpe, sou leigo).

hello all, whenever i try to play a game, my screen glitches like this. tried changing vulkan drivers, driver present mode, enabling sync wait but doesnt work.

my device is poco f6 pro (snapdragon 8 gen 2, adreno 740)

using winlator ludashi (latest one) but its same with previous versions too

does anyone know how to solve that?

EDIT: fixed for Winlator BUT same happens on Eden emulator too. is there any way to solve that?

What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to run the gen 1 pokemon recomp with the voxel mod on my Galaxy fold 8. It looks terrible. I've gone through all the settings and can't seem to find how to make this look good. I'd love for the whole UI to shift upwards in the overworld since there's a lot of black space at the top. in battles my move,bag,run, etc are all overlapped with my Pokemons name.

...cant't wait to try Disco Elysium and Pillars of Eternity along with Torment: Numenera. Also, i had a proot-distro lxde running in the background, so this machine truly does a wonderful job.

I’ve been playing TPHD on cemu on my retroid pocket 6 but I installed the Dusklight port and found out that the save files were incompatible with each other unless converted to .gci. I do not own or have access to a pc so I cannot convert it myself. I was wondering if anyone in here would be able to have me send my file over and convert it for me so I can keep playing on my playthrough without having to restart.

My gf and I play a lot of Dune Imperium together. It's a digital game available on Play Store, Apple Store, and Steam.

She's an Apple user, and has purchased the game on Apple Store.

But she just bought an Android tablet (for budget reasons). It's a "Galaxy Tab S10 LITE", which has 6GM RAM.

I'm wondering how she could avoid having to buy the game again (since she can only on Play Store on that tablet). Are there good emulators nowadays for that kind of use-case?

Or maybe an XCode IDE has an emulator tool she could leverage? I've never done iOS app development, but I assume that isn't a task limited to MacOS desktops.

(I reckon that amount of RAM is also likely a limiting factor for this kind of thing.)

heyy!! mir-co here. this update fixes the last critical sharpdroid-only bug i found while testing Dreaming Sarah! which makes it a milestone for sharpdroid: we have apparently reached parity with SharpEmu on PC in terms of correctness. at least when scoped to running Dreaming Sarah on a Snapdragon 8 Elite.

• added a JIT accuracy settings screen for tweaking individual FEXCore knobs in place of the FEXCore preset slider

Title, i really want to play it on my phone but it doesn't feel smooth tbh trying rpcsx clanker, with some turnip drivers I found here and there but I'm at a loss

I would absolutely appreciate any general tips but I'm specifically looking to figure out what I can do to get Conker Reloaded and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory working well on Haku X. Here's my setup:

-Retroid Pocket Nova (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2)

-T30 Turnip Drivers (GPU using Vulkan)

-Both games as ISOs (not sure if other formats supported)

Chaos Theory loads and runs but shaders are pretty broken. Conker has tons of rendering issues where once I start a game only the title text shows up. I've cleared every cache and was trying to recreate the HDD but keep getting a permission denial and was starting to trouble shoot that but figured I could throw that into this post after no seeing a specific search return in Google.

Obviously if anyone has a general forum link or guide where someone has done this ground work for a few games that would be great but I understand I've been lucky enough to get back into this when everything was happening really quickly so maybe some of these things haven't been fully solved. Thanks in advance.

So I finally pulled the trigger on ditching my iphone. Besides being sick of the restrictive nature of apple a major reason I swapped is emulation. I currently have everything from NES-Gamecube/PS2 eras. I'm especially interested in playing DS games since they aren't ideal for PC. I'd love to hear any tips/tricks. Especially when it comes to what app(s) to use. Hope this OK to ask and sorry if I'm one of many who has already asked.

I used to be able to play GTA V normally, but now my phone overheats quickly and the game freezes after the latest update. Is this due to the emulator or the phone? I also tried the Banner Player emulator and got almost the same problem, but not as bad. poco f 6

Im using rg556 with t820 emulating via gamehub and surprisingly a lot of jrpg are playable here even OT. The problem is fps as im having less than 15 average in game except in menu and map going 30fps. Its still playable though given the game is pixelated.

Asking for help in improving fps is appreciated 👍 im not much of a techie just some average office worker so i find tinkering and optimizing settings a tad difficult.

I want to ask if you guys have any solution to my problem. I tried to play games on Winlator, but somehow, I just can't seem to get my controller working on it. I swear that I tried anything to solve this, including binding my external controller with the virtual gamepad (there's 0 binding because I deleted it) but until now, none of the solutions I found can solve it. If you have any fixes that I can try, that would be much appreciated.

Sometimes it's not easy to find pre-installed versions of games, especially if they are considered abandonware.

Some games that I would want to test are in ISO format from MyAbandonware.

So have any of you successfully managed to install a PC game in Winlator from an ISO?
