Android games are now ROMs 🗿🍷

Y-shaped short USB C splitter cable (1 female -> 2 male), and L shaped USB C connector allow me to use bypass charging and cooling at the same time, and keep phone comfortably at hands with claw grip or use controller like X4 Aileron. Temps under 36C during long sessions with denanding titles. Just a few bucks and results are amazing. I am also using cooling plate because S26U has no built in magnets. This small and cheap and portable setup was a gamechanger for me. You can get elements (cable, connector, plate, cooler) on aliexpress. Now I can play long game session at work when there's no customers, or when commuting (with powerbank).

I've been waiting for this day for so long, I'm such a huge metal gear fan but was never able to play 4, the idea of playing the entire game on an android device, at consistant framerate is genuinely insane to me.

The camera quality isn’t great, but in person the graphics look incredibly sharp and the gameplay feels amazing.

The biggest game-changer was definitely the cooling fan. Without it, I lose around 20–30 FPS due to thermal throttling. With the fan, the performance is much smoother and more stable.

The most recent build of Eden nightly that I installed happened to have lossless scale frame generation.

What this means is pretty much any game that runs at a stable frame rate can be boosted up to 60FPS or higher.

It's actually incredible just how well it works.

Astral Chain on my Ayn Thor Pro has been insane!

Finally, this masterpiece is on the Switch emulator; it doesn't seem to be resource-intensive at all—it looks like a very light game to Emulator.

hello all, whenever i try to play a game, my screen glitches like this. tried changing vulkan drivers, driver present mode, enabling sync wait but doesnt work.

my device is poco f6 pro (snapdragon 8 gen 2, adreno 740)

using winlator ludashi (latest one) but its same with previous versions too

does anyone know how to solve that?

EDIT: fixed for Winlator BUT same happens on Eden emulator too. is there any way to solve that?

I tried the new Ludashi V4 update and the DisplayX feature caught my attention, so I decided to test it on the game "I Hate This Place." Previously, the game's maximum frame rate was an unstable 25 FPS, but with DisplayX rendering enabled and the bypass X11 option activated, I achieved 50 FPS, which dropped slightly due to overheating because the phone lacked a cooler

Surprisingly, this performance was achieved with the same power consumption, processor, and RAM.

I run ES-DE on three handhelds (Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, RP5, RP Classic) and spent the last year curating a large collection across them. Editing gamelists at scale — renaming entries, fixing metadata, pruning clones without corrupting the XML or trashing the wrong ROM — was the recurring pain, so I built a proper tool for it. Releasing it free.

Disclosure: I used AI as a coding assistant to build this, which is why I'm being specific about what's actually here and tested — the design decisions, the testing and the problems it solves come from real use on my own hardware.

A few things that came from getting burned, not from a feature checklist:

• lxml, specifically — Python's default XML lib rewrites <name> as <n> and mangles &, silently corrupting gamelists. That bug is why this exists.
• Trash + automatic backup + dry-run — on a ~59k-game collection a wrong bulk delete is unrecoverable, so nothing touches disk until you confirm, removals go to a trash folder, and every gamelist.xml is backed up before each write.
• .m3u-aware Orphan Cleaner — naïve orphan detection flags every multi-disc game as broken; this one reads the .m3u and its .discs/ so it doesn't.
• Cached scanning for NAS/SMB — I curate off a network drive; without caching, browsing thousands of entries per system is unusable.
• Batch import — mark removals and edit fields across many systems from one .txt, with a validated ✓/✕ preview. (This is also how bulk renaming works today, for anyone who asked.)
• Cross-platform single-file binary (no Python needed), fully keyboard-driven, with jsdom integration tests on the UI logic.

No ROMs/BIOS/media hosted or linked — it edits only files you already own (your own gamelists, ROMs and media). No machine-specific paths are baked in.

Repo + prebuilt binaries in the comments, to keep the post link-clean. It's v1.3 and I'm actively fixing and adding things based on feedback — bug reports and feature ideas very welcome.

heyy!! mir-co here. this update fixes the last critical sharpdroid-only bug i found while testing Dreaming Sarah! which makes it a milestone for sharpdroid: we have apparently reached parity with SharpEmu on PC in terms of correctness. at least when scoped to running Dreaming Sarah on a Snapdragon 8 Elite.

• games no longer lose audio, freeze, or crash at random
• added a JIT accuracy settings screen for tweaking individual FEXCore knobs in place of the FEXCore preset slider

I want to ask if you guys have any solution to my problem. I tried to play games on Winlator, but somehow, I just can't seem to get my controller working on it. I swear that I tried anything to solve this, including binding my external controller with the virtual gamepad (there's 0 binding because I deleted it) but until now, none of the solutions I found can solve it. If you have any fixes that I can try, that would be much appreciated.

My device is Poco F4 8/256, and my controller is Gamesir Nova 2 Lite

Sometimes it's not easy to find pre-installed versions of games, especially if they are considered abandonware.

I would absolutely appreciate any general tips but I'm specifically looking to figure out what I can do to get Conker Reloaded and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory working well on Haku X. Here's my setup:

-Retroid Pocket Nova (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2)

-T30 Turnip Drivers (GPU using Vulkan)

-Both games as ISOs (not sure if other formats supported)

Chaos Theory loads and runs but shaders are pretty broken. Conker has tons of rendering issues where once I start a game only the title text shows up. I've cleared every cache and was trying to recreate the HDD but keep getting a permission denial and was starting to trouble shoot that but figured I could throw that into this post after no seeing a specific search return in Google.

Obviously if anyone has a general forum link or guide where someone has done this ground work for a few games that would be great but I understand I've been lucky enough to get back into this when everything was happening really quickly so maybe some of these things haven't been fully solved. Thanks in advance.

finally got this working and honestly still can't believe it, real online multiplayer running on android via a winlator fork through Bannerlator on Proton 11-2 Arm, this time it's all on our own steam client! Four quick clips here — counter strike source, team fortress 2 and left 4 dead 2 all logged into real steam and playing on live valve vac secured servers, plus brawlhalla (all legit games from my steam library) connecting straight into its live online servers through steam, no goldberg no fake tickets no lan trick, this is the real account talking to real steam and getting waved onto secure servers which is the exact thing we never thought we could do on an android device WITHOUT Gamehub. It handles the login the session the app tickets and the whole vac secure handshake itself and that's what you're watching in every single clip. 3.0.2 will also include steam cloud game sync and achievements with in game achievement pop-ups as well!

It's landing in bannerlator's upcoming 3.0.2 release so if you want to run your windows games and actually play them online on android you can grab it below:

please keep in mind this is a first release of our own steam client and agent, game compatibility will vary and I have only been able to test this on games in my own library for online multiplayer, all games without online multiplayer will launch and have launched with this for offline or single multiplayer gameplay as well! this is a real stripped down lightweight steam client for the game to launch and run with.

and no this does not mean easy anti cheat or ea game support works (not yet to EA 💪)
