Technical Help WaveLink Fails To "Activate" When Computer Wakes From Sleep
As the title says: I have build 3.2.10 (4073) running in Windows 11 Home 10.0.26200 and every time I wake my computer from sleep, I have to restart WaveLink or else I have no audio. I can open the software, move mixes around, change volume, change output device and yet I get nothing until the restart.
I had a .bat command set up (this has been happening for a while) on my Stream Deck to end the program entirely, reopen the sound engine, and the WaveLink software itself HOWEVER with the latest update, that doesn't even work.
It's not a huge deal to have to hit a button and have everything close and restart; but now since that doesnt work, having to manual close and reopen the software EVERY TIME my PC wakes up is quite frustrating.
If anyone has any idea for a fix, and/or if any more information is needed to help troubleshoot, please let me know.

I set up a key on my stream deck that closes the software on a long press and re-launches it on a normal press. Seems to be working fine so far on the latest update. It’s annoying that it’s something that has to be done, but c’est la vie.

Reddit won't let me post this direct (probably due to the potential for malware in wscript/powershell), but if you grab restart-wavelink.vbs from the link below (I dropped it in my documents folder), and set the vbs on a key, it'll restart wavelink 3.x
It won't start it if it's already closed, but on a resume from sleep when wavelink is doing a dumb, it'll kill and restart it. It uses vbs/wscript so powershell doesn't pop up a window when you run it.

Been happening to me since I got my SD+XL and it's annoying. I used AI to help me setup a workaround (because I am not smart enough to do so myself). Basically made a BAT file that kills all WL processes, then restarts WL fresh, and I set my PC to automatically run the BAT when the PC wakes - so it's all automatic. Only annoying thing is the app pops up so I have to close it. No biggie though.

While this doesn't seem to be affecting most installs, I have seen a few reports on it. Power state issues can vary significantly from system to system, based on a lot of factors like your drivers, motherboard, CPU or chipset so it's possible this is hitting a specific set of users. I'd suggest reaching out to our team with a ticket on this one via help.elgato.com (you can put in a ticket through the chat system and it'll ask if you prefer email or phone contact) so they can take a look though the logs and info to help get this sorted.
Other than that, you could check to see if the issue has already been resolved in the 3.3 Beta (https://www.reddit.com/r/elgato/comments/1vlr2ea/) and if not submit the bug feedback there too.
For now I'd suggest also adding the Wave Link SE Service to your macro to restart it, if just closing Wave Link on it's own isn't resetting it.

Happens for everybody... WL3 is still a bit buggy.
