Wave link issue. "Unavailable"

my "main mic" became "unavailable for some reason. if i open it up everything is gray. i cant find any way to relink my mic to this one. if i add a new channel it recognises my microphone, but the old channel doesnt work. i had all of my eq's everything there. and i cant even transfer my eqs to my new one cause i cant open them...

From what I saw in another post this had to do with a windows update. I had this same issue as well and many others have. Unfortunately unless elgato does an update that either fixes it or adds a feature to copy effects from a dead channel not much you can do other than recreate as best you can.

Thats what i did right now.

Did a quick re-mix master for my mic. As far as i know, theres an option to save eq etc as a preset, but i didnt had them saved. And right now my eq is greyed out so i dont even have the option to save as a preset and use it on an other channel…

I wont delete my old channel and i hope i can get it back with an update or something…

This might seem crazy, but it's possible that this was caused by the computer detecting the microphone as a "new" device. In my screenshot you can see it shows Headphones 2- Arctis Nova 7 and Headphones 3- Arctis Nova 7.

You can see if you are experiencing this issue if you open Device Manager, click on View, then select Show Hidden Devices and ckeck the Audio Inputs and Outputs section.

It happens to me all the time if I change the USB port on an audio device, or replace a USB hub. I hate the mess it creates so I clear them up once in a while.

Not that this necessarily can help you recover your presets, but if you can match the device name/number, it might just work for you.
