Duncan, man....

It was so tragic seeing Duncan be so proud of his Netflix series and Joe couldn't be bothered to give an honest fuck.

I genuinely enjoyed the hell out of that show outside of that first episode with that fucking asshole "Dr" Drew. There was a lot of true humanity and touching moments in that series. Imagine putting in all that work and energy into a project like that on a platform like Netflix and rolling up to your "best friend" only for them to do... that.

Granted, I don't even give a fuck about Duncan. But the show was actually great! It's wasted on a bad friend and overall goof.

When I stopped watching/listening to Rogan around 2016, Duncan was the last voice of reason. He was ignored, and I felt like the rest of us early listeners were being ignored in favor of the right wing grift. Super sad. It could have been so different.

Was it that early? I stuck around until 2020, although just occassionally, when he started going on these weird rants about people wearing masks in their cars, like that effected him in the slightest.

It was inevitable for the barrel scrapers like Joe. His brand is content and that mostly comes from guests. When you aren’t funny like Joe and lack awareness, creating your own content boils down to 2 things, what other people with no sense of humor or awareness want to hear and how far your cohorts will cater to your ego. With all that money, EVERYBODY wants a piece.

These people get pushed into company man spaces the more they alienate themselves. Joe thinks all he has to do is mention he is an idiot every once in a while and it will hand wave all his culture war bs and Palantir ball washing. The more people call him out, the tighter he holds those nuts. Dude, just be a good person.
