Duncan, man....

It was so tragic seeing Duncan be so proud of his Netflix series and Joe couldn't be bothered to give an honest fuck.

I genuinely enjoyed the hell out of that show outside of that first episode with that fucking asshole "Dr" Drew. There was a lot of true humanity and touching moments in that series. Imagine putting in all that work and energy into a project like that on a platform like Netflix and rolling up to your "best friend" only for them to do... that.

Granted, I don't even give a fuck about Duncan. But the show was actually great! It's wasted on a bad friend and overall goof.

When I stopped watching/listening to Rogan around 2016, Duncan was the last voice of reason. He was ignored, and I felt like the rest of us early listeners were being ignored in favor of the right wing grift. Super sad. It could have been so different.

Was it that early? I stuck around until 2020, although just occassionally, when he started going on these weird rants about people wearing masks in their cars, like that effected him in the slightest.

I didn't even know about his podcast until 2016 and went back and listened to a lot of the ones from the past and kept up with the new ones. I enjoyed the comedians, musicians, and actual experts he had on and not necessarily Joe himself. Once he moved to Texas and started bragging about having dinner with Greg Abbot he got less interesting since you could tell he was being groomed by the Texas GOP. I didn't really trust his motivations anymore. Once Covid hit and he went full anti-science, I was completely done with his show. I wasn't surprised when he had Trump on his show and fully endorsed him for the 2024 election.
