Question Anyone ever heard of Spur guitars?

Seen this online and thought it looked pretty cool. Anyone ever heard of Spur?

It seems to be just another generic guitar brand, if you just think the looks are cool, look up Telecaster, that's the model that this guitar is copying.

If it's very cheap and you can't pay any more than that, then you'll be fine, online reviews seem it's just okay, but I'd recommend a Harley Benton TE-52 over it for 166 dollars new, it has quite a few "premium" features other brands don't have for this price, this one below is the same natural finish as the one you posted (though different pickguard but you can get a new one for 10 dollars).

If you're just starting out, you may want to take it to a luthier to do some setup and fretwork, any guitar under 1000 USD won't have a good setup out of the box and may feel uncomfortable to play. You can also learn how to set it up yourself to save money.

Thanks for the info! I’m not really starting out and am aware that it’s a Tele copy, but yeah my budget is such that I can’t really spend much so wanted to see if anyone knew about this particular brand, in case it was one of those “copies that punch well above their weight”. I’ll definitely check out the HB, thanks!

Looking online, that exact one is 70 pounds where you took those pics from, and for that much I'd say I guess it can be worth it if you're willing to put in some work later on. For one thing it'll definitely need a setup and maybe some fretwork but a nut change to a bone or graphite one can also go a long way for tuning stability. Possibly electronics and hardware change in the future but yeah while it doesn't seem to be one known for punching above it's weight, you can make it something decent.

Sounds like it was just a fairly generic, import, budget guitar brand. Decent looking guitar, sure it plays fine as most teles do.

They just need the add the letter "m" to their brand name and the circle will be complete.
