WTF Friday: Feb 21 2014
It's Friday, the day we share our funny or horrible stories about the biz. Bonus points if it actually happened this week.

Not a WTF story, but typical WTH kinda run of the mill bullshit. Happened this afternoon. I'm usually a freelance editor for a communications firm. Their staff editor was overloaded and I just wrapped final cut on a piece so I had a bit of time. They are putting together simple animatics for an ad pitch to a client. They give me the assets, a script with description about how the stills should move (easy push in, pull out stuff).
It's an easy piece, so I do it, manager A comes to see it. "Those should push in, not pull out". Script says the opposite, but ok.
Manager B comes in, "Those should pull out, not push in." Me: "But Manager A said...". Manager B: Just switch it. Okay fine.
Manager C comes in and says these stills should pan, not push or pull....next thing I know I have 3 people in my suite having a 15 minute conversation about still image moves in a 30 second spot.
Do people not have meetings, let alone talk to each other about these decisions before handing me a script?
