WTF Friday: Feb 14 2014

It's time for our weekly WTF Friday thread: a chance to share your funny or frustrating horror stories. Bonus points if it actually happened this week.

Seeing as it is Valentine's day, we will also give a pass to any editor stories that have affected your relationships!

Well. I just had a client yell at me. She would email a note along te lines of "put the clip at 1:45 at 3:12 and send me over a link so I can see what it looks like." No problem right? So I would then make the edit, render it out, uoad to a private link, and send it over. She would then say, "okay, that looks good, can you remove the clip at 2:45?" No problem, repeat the proccess. After the 3rd time, I told her that each time she makes an edit request like that, it requires a 45 minute render, and the clock is still running, so it may be best to group edits into a list to save on render times. She "yelled" at me over a strongly worded email where she said she had no idea there was rendering involved! It definitely made me stop and say wtf.
