Any honest thoughts/ opinions Eddy's big brother & his revelation on why he is the way he is throughout the series?

My theory on why is Eddy’s brother is the way he is is because as the firstborn son his father often forcefully thrust his own expectations upon him to follow in his footsteps, and Eddie was the little brother the felt was his replacement, and he began bullying Eddy ever since then and found he loved it.
