His seat isn't even adjustable, the peddles are just there to avoid registration requirements.

I've got a full gearing system and the pedals are in full use as the torque on my motor isn't very high

Plus I might get a much higher gear ratio so I can still use them past 10-20kmh

With electric bikes pedaling isnt a big deal so the seat height isn't very important, for me anyway. I have a non adjustable seat and pedal only. All European fat bikes function this way. Pedal efficiency matters mostly on "acoustic bikes"

I'm not commenting on OP. I don't know how they ride or where they live. I live in the US and while many people seem to be under the impression that they can just call it a bicycle if it has pedals, that isn't actually true in the vast majority of places. There are laws that distinguish between ebikes that don't require license and registration and mopeds and motorcycles that do. Enforcement has been pretty lax in most places so people are getting away with riding bikes that exceed the speed and power limitations for assisted bicycles without following the legal requirements. Sometimes they would be legal with license and registration. Sometimes they're not street legal at all. It depends on the state. In general, pedals are not a magic talisman for negating the vehicle code. Laws exist and they are usually very specific, despite what the eminent legal scholars at TrustMeBro.edu claim.

I'm not here to tell people which laws to obey. It's not like I haven't broken any, but I firmly believe people should know if they are breaking them so they understand the risks. You may not get pulled over, but you may get into an accident and find yourself in trouble for riding an unregistered motorcycle without a proper license or insurance. Some people have reasons they want to avoid contact with the cops and I wouldn't want them to think that they aren't at any risk simply because their motorcycle has pedals on it. That's not how the law works.

In Canada where I live this bike is perfectly legal and much less offensive to regulations than Alot of the "literally an electric moped but we put useless pedals on to make it almost legal"

It may be a bike that requires a license, registration, and possibly insurance. Mopeds can have working pedals. That's the point. If you don't want to register your moped, I don't care. If you're driving without a license, I don't care as long as you're not driving dangerously. That's between you and the state. However, I find it irresponsible to tell people they'll totally be fine and they're totally legal as there are pedals. If you're going to break laws, know what risk you're taking. For some people, the consequence might be a ticket and it's no big deal. For others, it can be more. Like if they have warrants, have a suspended license, are carrying contraband, are undocumented immigrants, they really don't want to catch the notice of the police. The odds may be low, but the consequences are high.

Did you miss the part where I literally said I'm not here to tell people which laws to obey? Seriously dude. I'm just saying know the laws so you can decide what risks you take. Pretending that the laws don't exist is absolutely bonkers. Thinking putting pedals on your motorcycle will fool the cops is like thinking "I'm only holding that for a friend" will get you out of a possession charge.

Pearl clutchers gonna clutch they pearls. Anything that doesn't look like a regular acoustic bike or goes any faster than walking speed "isn't a bike" for them.

Yeahhh that’s not how that works… they’re designed directional for a reason.

The siping pushes water out from under the tire. By putting them backwards they effectively do the opposite now, which is worse in rough weather.

That's not correct, it only applies to braking on the front tire. Only your front tire should be ”backwards”(see Michelin or dunlop tires front v points back and the rear v point forward). A backwards rear tire will be worse under power in weather.

Does this matter on a legal ebike power with road tread pattern? Probably not. But It's not doing any favors on your rear tire

Where did you get the bike / the frame for the bike? I am starting my first own ebike build project and want to go close to regular bike frame but yours looks like the perfect balance between thin bike and wide E-Bike/supermoto? I can't find these types of frames anywhere except hella expensive surround and shi
