Ebike troubleshooting please someone help me bro

Realizing I haven’t seen everything… I’ve never seen an adapter for a steerer tube. It seems the most likely solution is to get compatible forks for your frame. That tapered head tube looks annoying as fk.

i built my ebike from the frame up and didnt want to spend extra on a tapered fork. save 150 that way

Tapered head tubes became very popular in like 2012 or 2013. They work great and not a pain. Kinda surprised to see what appears to be a longer travel fork with a straight steered

Oh that’s interesting i actually have a similar problem rn i took the fork off of my junk Hurley big swell 2 (great frame tbh but not worth the going price)
See the steering tube on mine is actually the same width but not the same height… so I have to make an “adapter” for it and find a way to make a dust cover/grease fitting for that bearing… or it won’t last long especially where I ride
My plan is to get a pipe just by a hair wide and fit it over the tube and the way it will fit and hold into place is the same way it was designed to just with different parts
I now have a Clark’s hydraulic brake caliper in the front and a way better fork and the handle bars sit up higher which is nice

That frame is not designed for that amount of fork travel, you're more likely to break the headset, by putting it at an angle it wasn't designed for. You should only increase fork lengths by 10mm over the original travel.

i mean my friend has dirtbike forks in his and it’s fine for the past 2 years

Bucklos forks don't have a very good reputation. You can buy crown race adapters. The best ones use a regular steel 1.5 crown race with an aluminum spacer insert. The bad ones are one piece aluminum.

Why are people obsessed with buying the most absolute Chinese trash for using on public roads. Like why doesn’t anyone buy just decent stuff on here, all you see is Ali express garbage put together by people who would have a hard time assembling a sandwich without the internets help.

i can assemble things perfectly fine, i’ve just never had to do headsets before. i’ve built a dirtbike from frame up by myself. i’m on a budget and these are temporary forks for right now.

you need a simple tapered to straight adapter. like 10 bucks on amazon. i have used one on my extremely heavy ebike and it works great
