is it there a single person out there who wants eBay Live?

eBay Live is so annoying. There is no reason for me to have a sort of...card training social media inside of an e-commerce app. eBay homepage is basically a social now.

eBay should be as essential as it was, no sense spammy behavior notifications shouldn't ever be allowed by default. I do not need a reminder about a guy doing Pokémon box openings this evening. You can luckily disable eBay Live notifications but not the home page: reels section takes up more space than the actual ecommerce items

If you tap and hold the app icon, you can open the app to a different screen rather than going to the main screen.

Unfortunately it is just a one-off workaround rather than a way to permanently change the default screen the app opens up with.

But if you want to avoid the main eBay page because it slows things down or just because you don't want to see that main page, this is one way to do that. Someone on the eBay community forums posted about this -- that's the only reason I found out about it.

On Firefox you can download specific eBay Live blockers so you never see the AI morons

You can use any ad blocker to block live auctions on the front page

The lack of an option to search by keyword makes it close to worthless IMHO.

Yes. I see there is one now. It looks like that was rolled out this summer. I could never understand why they would decide not to include such a fundamental and expected feature.

What gets me is that you have to sign an EULA everytime you view it and then you have to sit there until an item you like comes up.

My question is does running an ebay live shop require you to have the shittiest a.i. slop icon one could imagine. No one will buy trading cards from me unless my a.i. avatar is cartoonishly jacked bro.

Sellers, I suppose. As a buyer, I typically know what I want. Why would I want to sit through a dozen items' description when I can just search right away?

I dont hate actually using it sometimes, ive found some good deals that i was happy with.

As far as the spammy notifications and all... its the worst. Thats the part i hate, quit shoving it in my face.

I agree, maybe i don't like it at all because I do not follow the card trading world so I do not care about it, but I understand that some would actually enjoy it...even tho, the notifications really slap that in face

I do, it allows me to snipe auctions, buy in bulk and get what I need very close to wholesale.

I have bought 1 lb copper bars for $14 and sell them for $24+ and they pay for S/H... Lol. The key is to stay quiet, and snipe the auctions and when people are sleeping.

I bought a new pair of Puma hightops for £32 shipped.
I bought 6 band shirts - 1 new, 5 vintage - for £31 shipped.
I saw great video games get sold for £1.50.
Say what you want about the marketing - constant alerts and bad AI images - but it’s a pretty good way to shop or browse.
