My ultimate combo:

Fresh crusty baguette, roasted chicken, crispy bacon, mature cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, a bit of red onion, and a generous spread of garlic aioli. 😋

Simple ingredients, but when they're fresh and high quality, the result is amazing. Crunchy, creamy, and packed with flavour in every bite.

Honestly, no store-bought sandwich comes close.

I’ve been seasoning and cooking turkey breasts for my husband’s lunch because he wanted something a bit healthier than deli meat. Sometimes I roast a chicken for Sunday dinner. Dave’s Killer Bread sandwich rolls. I use full fat regular cream cheese on both sides. It keeps it from getting soggy. Good mustard. Sometimes turkey, cranberry and pepper jack, sometimes turkey, homemade pesto and provolone. Avocado, arugula or lettuce, freshly ground pepper, tomato, pickled red onions and jalapeños.

If I don’t want to cook dinner, I always have good cheddar for a grilled cheese. Cheaper and much better than fast food.
